Unfortunately my experience was the inverse of what I had initially expected. The restaurant appeared moderately busy, with a nice modern aesthetic. We were sat in a party of 3, and were seated relatively quickly. I usually pay in cash and went to the cashier to place my order but despite the large number of staff on shift, only one person was taking orders meaning I had waited over 10 minutes with still no one to take my meal.
One of the members of our group had already received their food, while me and other person were left waiting.
I ordered on the app and my food came out cold, taking over 25 minutes for a simple order of a burger and garlic bread. I don’t know if they were butchering the animal out back, or still trying to raise it from an egg but by the time my food came, it was cold and tasted like a waste of £20. We waited for everyone’s food to arrive so our luke-warm food started going cold.
I used to like Nando’s but with this experience have realised this place is not what it once was.
If you go to Nando’s, please don’t go to this one. If you order from here, delivery or collection would almost definitely be quicker.
[EDIT] It went even worse. The place was a mess, there was a knife dropped by a server which was slipped on numerous times, and the coke zero was out, despite telling the staff numerous times to change it. For reference we got here at 8, and didn’t get our food until 9PM.
[EDIT 2] It is 2.45AM and I have not been able to sleep due to painful stomach cramps and diarrhoea. I feel very sick and ill, and I believe it’s due to my meal. For reference I had ordered a Sunset Burger with Garlic Bread (for myself).
[EDIT 4] I am nauseus and am rethinking over my decision to come here earlier today, as I lie here in agony.
Don’t spend your money here.
[UPDATE FINAL]
Customer service were really nice and spoke to me about my issues however this is separate from the staff on site. They were nice and gave me a chilli on my nandos card equivalent to a meal which was appreciated. I would add more points to this review because of that, however this review was of my experience at the restaurant in that moment in time. I will return one day to try it out and based on that could...
Read moreTo whom it may concern , So yesterday myself and partner had visited Nando’s at j27 Batley . Upon our arrival we was greeted by a young man which I had asked if I was still ok to use my Nando’s restaurant choice voucher .. he replied wasn’t a problem and made us do the queing system required with the barcode ... waiting 20 mins in the car our table was finally ready . Another gentleman took us to our table and explaining about ordering through our phones etc , I then explained to him I had a restaurant choice voucher and he replied il sort it with my manager and will have to pay up at the till area ... still waiting to do so he never returned to our our table so had to approach another maybe of staff and explain all over again .. he said il speak to a manger , he then returned and said I could not use it . Then the previous gentleman returned saying we could ... was such a mess About . In the end after 45 mins of waiting we could not use the voucher that I had , so we left . So unorganised, so unprofessional. I had ask before even downloading the barcode and was told wasn’t problem . I will not be returning to this Nando’s again and totally disrupted my day ! I think it needs to state this before entering the restaurant and yet you can still buy vouchers and not use them...
Read moreI have never been so overcharged for so little. I really wish I had photo to illustrate what a rip off this meal was. I ordered the 1/4 Chicken Leg with a Fino Side of Ratatouille which cost a total of £6.95. I honestly have never seen such a small poriton of chicken; in fact it could have been Quail it was that small. What made it worse was the ramakin portion of Ratatouille. The Ratatouille had more celery than courgette or aubergine or peppers; and as celery is not a tradtional key ingredient of this dish it was disappointing. The service was fair - I would say they are keen to sell you extra dishes, which based on the portion sizes it probably works a treat.
What I don't understand is that there are far superiour chains, yet it seems so popular. What is frustrating is we could have gone to the Woodlands Hotel,in the same area and had a beautiful lunch for the same cost, and had an excellent service.
If you are at Birstall and want something to eat I'd recommend you try Pizza Hut if you are looking for...
