Visiting Morecambe for the day. This place was centrally located on the front with plenty of parking around. Pay and display though even for disabled badge holders. Only really wanted something quick and easy. Menu showed an offer that's available all day Monday to Friday. 2 Mains Classics for £11.99. We decided on the fish and chips. Am always wary though when the menu just says fish and doesn't specify if its haddock or cod. My brother went to the bar to queue and place our order. His experience led him to conclude that the staff were not the friendliest or the most efficient. Unfortunately he was told they had no fish left. He asked if they had steak and ale pie. They had run out of that as well. The classics option had 9 choices on it. The first two he asked about were not available. Whilst at the bar he overheard other customers being told that they had run out of other items. This didn't offer a good first impression. We decided to cut our losses and try elsewhere. How on earth a seaside establishment can run out of fish early afternoon on a Thursday is beyond me. It wasn't even that busy. When we visit Morecambe again this is one place we will not be...

This is my second visit to this pub, we have eaten both times. Although there is a separate drinks area, which is a good shout.

It's a green king pub, very much a wetherspoons vibe but with a play list.

It was early Monday lunchtime so it was very quiet. We ordered drinks unfortunately hot drinks were not an option as the machine was broken. There were four of us, we took our drinks to the table and looked at the large menu. The menu covered everyone, vegetarians and vegans as well as choices for those with intolerances. We ordered at the bar but there is table service available via an app.

Our food came out in a reasonable time , and was piping hot. Our steaks , one well done and one medium rare had been cooked well. It's pub grub, nothing special but all presented well and good portions

This is an old train station and had maintained some original features which was good to see. The staff member we dealt with was very chatty, who couldn't apologise enough for the hot drinks not being available.

There are accessible entrances and toilets for those using mobility aids. Plenty of short stay parking. Lots of seating...

Disgusting hygiene, filthy environment, awful food, and rude staff.

This place is beyond unacceptable. There were dogs roaming inside the food prep areas—barking at each other, fighting, and even urinating right by the entrances. The smell was nauseating. Hygiene clearly isn’t a priority here, and that alone is a huge red flag for any food establishment.

The interior was just as bad—dirty, worn-out carpets, seats falling apart, and a general sense of grime and neglect everywhere. It felt like the place hadn’t been cleaned properly in years.

To make matters worse, the food was absolutely disgusting. What I was served was clearly frozen, poorly reheated, and completely flavorless. It felt like no care or effort went into preparing it, just like everything else about this place.

And to top it all off, the staff were incredibly rude. When I politely raised concerns, I was met with sarcasm, eye rolls, and an attitude that made it very clear they couldn’t care less.

I will be reporting this restaurant to the local health authorities. Avoid this place at all costs—it's a health hazard and a complete...

I feel a bit bad giving a three, it wasn't far off a four but we felt the food wasn't that great (I had mac n cheese and my wife had sirloin steak). Mine was just too cheesy, and my Wife's steak dish had chips that weren't that great and tasted a bit like oven chips and the peppercorn sauce was really thick. One other small point is the two beers I had (Jarl and another I can't remember) had a strange taste, sort of plastic and I wondered if it was something to do with brand new beer lines with it only recently reopening? I ended up leaving them both and getting a bottle of Newcastle Brown instead. Okay now the good stuff, the decor is fantastic, lots of old railway signs and pictures made it a really cosy feeling place, fireplaces were great, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was very good. If the little niggles could get ironed out (only a few things made us not really like the food and drink) it would be potentially brilliant. Will certainly come again to see what it's like next time we visit (in the summer hopefully). Thanks, Ross and Christine

This large and lively pub used to be the train station. When they decided to redevelop the area and shift to a smaller station in the 90s, this fine old building was cut off from the tracks. The redevelopment as a pub and small events centre has actually been quite sympathetically done. Pub is part of the Greene King Vintage Inns chain - food is ok but what you’d expect really for a chain like this - big portions, mainly fried and very heavy fare. Definitely think chain pub not gastropub. Pub has a single gaming machine which has Rise of Anubis. No wins. The beer was Peroni. Decent. Out the back there appears to be an entire Wacky Warehouse, preserved as if in as aspic in early 2020. In there, time is frozen; as the poster in the door warning it has closed due to social distancing restrictions bears testament. Pub is very convenient for the Midland, which is itself looking somewhat tired and sad these days. Also a large market to the rear.
