The atmosphere is relaxed and homely, with a wonderful indoor and out door market. There is good parking for vehicles, The Platform Theatre is well known for excellent entertainment, and the beach with it's fine yellow sand slopes away into the sea. Happy Mount Park is perfect for a family day out with children in mind, and can be found on the sea front, and there is a fair with traditional rides also on the extensive promenade. For all you book worms out there a fantastic book shop to visit is, 'The old Pier book shop' It has so much character that as soon as you walk in you are engulfed by that lovely smell of old books.
