Charcoal Chicken Steak House — Restaurant in Leeds

The steak is not steak, chips, and salad as expected.

It's steak that has been cut into strips and cooked with various mixed vegetables that aren't mentioned on the menu and heavy asian seasoning; again, it is not mentioned on the menu. I thought I had ordered a nice grilled sirloin steak, so for what is offered, that makes it heavily overpriced.

There was a huge lump of green tomato stalk in it, absolutely loads of peppers, which I am allergic to and, again, aren't mentioned and lots and lots of onions.

I ordered a hawaain burger, and it arrived absolutely full of enormously chopped raw onions, which is not acceptable again, as if someone with allergies were to eat it, they could end up sick or in hospital.

Please, for goodness sake, sell what is advertised on the menu and don't add to that. Allergies are not things to be played around with.

Lastly, I was embarrassed for the salad. They could not have found a smaller container if they tried. It was an insult to a salad. About two mouthfuls and, unfortunately, yet again, full of large lumps of raw onion of all different shapes and sizes.

Please, if you want to use onion, then train your chef to pay attention and use some level of care in cutting things straight and thin. No one wants to eat huge hunks...

OH, NO, NOT DONNA!!!

This used to be one of the best takeaways on Roundhay Road LS8. Over the recent years, there has been a steady decline in portion size and, most importantly, quality of the food and taste. Plus, there was that beef instead of lamb in their curries. That was a warning.

It's because of serious worry when the donna meat comes out of a bag instead of the kebab machine or rotisserie. I've noticed the rotisserie not even on these days.

Anyway, my last order brings me to make this poor review.

The donna not cooked long enough and hardly and sause.

No salad given.

They should do better. But I will never know if...

Me and my wife use this place most weeks. My only gripes are the £1.50 delivery charge despite spending often £15-20 or more a time. It would also be nice to see some more regular items available (currys are so expensive that I have never bothered trying one and there are no chicken/mixed regular kekbabs, all nan kebabs). But the chicken wings are nice. The food is also sometimes a bit cold. Not good when you are less than half a mile away.

Honestly, if I found a place that sold as good chicken wings then I would use them instead. But it would be nicer to see this place rise to the challenge and improve it's game so I can give...
