I’ve read most of your comments and yes the food is lovely and yes the atmosphere is fantastic , staff are lovely ?? Yeah I definitely agree with you ......but that’s because their scared of the manager that owns the establishment. I have never in my life been so disrespected ,I was on a trial shift last week and it was the worse experience I have ever encountered I have been in the hospitality for 5 years now and not ever have I been talked down to the way the manager spoke to me , he constantly got annoyed at me when I questioned him ..........it’s a trial shift I’m supposed to ask questions and you as my manager should be more than willing to answer them , he had the cheek to say to me to use my brain ........once again I will state this is a trial shift so if I’m not getting things right it’s because your slack at teaching pal!! It got so bad that I had to walk of shift !! But me being professional I only left an hour early ,I’ve also been told that he has assaulted a member of staff !! Everyone that works in this establishment is scared of the manager (hose) I’m warning anyone that goes for a job at this place to NOT go for the job the man is horrible I don’t know wether he’s sexist or racists but the way he spoke to me and other members of staff was appalling!! We had main courses & dessert. The food was ok, i tried my partners pizza and tasted ok but my pasta lacked flavour. No appetiser was offered. It was very quiet for a saturday evening. The staff were nice, however what reuined it was how they behaved when we had paid and left our table. We had just over half a bottle of wine left and had planned to take the rest home with us, however I forgot (due to my audhd). We walked back to our car and then drove round to the restaurant to pick up our bottle of wine we had forgotten. The staff was holding our bottle with 2 other bottles and told us they had cleared up and couldn't have the wine back. That was unfair and poor service. Because of this poor attitude, we will not return on principle. Very disappointing experience and put a dampener to our evening. They could have been more professional about it and maybe offered us a glass of wine each if we returned, but no nothing. I don't like to be a 'karen', but this was really unprofessional and disappointing. Also, watch out they automatically add a 10% service charge without pointing...

We finished our meal here a few hours ago and were still talking about what a pleasant experience it was. The wait staff are charming, welcoming and strike that perfect balance between present and absent. You're drinks are never left empty. But you're in no way hastled. They were fantastic and are an asset to the place.

The food was exceptional. I've worked in food for a long time and honestly, very impressed!

From the soup of the day to the rib eye. Quality, and freshness run through every dish like core ingredients. I would add aswell, the pricing is absolutely fair.

My single criticism is, sort the gents toilets. They let you down.

If you're considering coming here, do. If you've been meaning to for a while, get on it! This place is a treasure and as such it should get a little support from food lovers.
