Nestled in a quaint corner of the local neighborhood, Sound Bites emerges as a delightful café, effortlessly combining the warmth of homemade food with a charming ambiance.

During my visit, I indulged in their waffles with bacon, hash browns and beans. While the dish was competently prepared, the presentation of the bacon left something to be desired. Serving it as crispy rashers rather than chopped pieces would have elevated the textural experience, complementing the softness of the waffles more effectively.

However, the coffee with tiny cookie proved to be a highlight. Paired with an impeccably baked cookie, the café’s commitment to quality is evident.

Yet, what truly distinguishes Sound Bites is the exceptional service. The staff, particularly the two ladies I encountered, were paragons of hospitality. Their warmth and genuine friendliness transformed a simple meal into a memorable experience, creating an atmosphere that beckons patrons to return not just for the food, but for the conviviality.

Been here a fair few times, can honestly say the experience has never differed and always stayed the same; from the amazing customer service - the staff are always smiling, bubbly and up for a chat no matter what time of day it is and the food I’d personally say is some of the best breakfast I’ve eaten, from the sandwiches to the wraps to the full on breakfast, everything is always fresh and served within 2-8 minutes from ordering depending on how much you order and how busy they are. This places definitely hit the spot this morning. As greasy spoons go it’s up there with some of the best I’ve been to and as a trucker that’s a lot ha.

The food was gorgeous and hit the spot on every level. The two lasses behind the counter are polite, friendly and extremely professional.

They accommodated our group of 7 even close to the closing time.
