The food was good, but the young female waitress (not the one wearing a head scarf) was the most rudest and unprofessional waitress i've ever experienced at a fine dine restaurant. First of all she was too busy hugging and chatting to a person she knows that just came in, instead of helping us with a query we had, and other tables. A few minutes later she then just literally dumped our plates at the start of the table instead of placing each plate in front of us like a normal waitress. Her attitude was appauling as well as if she couldn't be bothered or had an agenda against us for no reason. To spend that much money and be given customer service like this is unacceptable, and ultimately to a degree ruined our whole experience. I didnt catch her name but she should be fired immediately. We also came down all the way from the east midlands to this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, and they didn't even have the decency to offer us any complementary tea or desert after spending so much on starters and main course as well. Almost all the time we have visited persian restaurants outside of east midlands we get offered this, however with this restaurant on two occassions now (previously a year ago) they havent done this. This should be changed and they should offer this to every customer who travels a long distance to the restaurant. The staff kept on looking and watching us when we were eating and to other tables as well, which was very unpleasant. This needs to be addressed immediately. We also wanted some iranian desert from the menu after, and we got told they had none left even though it was only 8pm! So overall food was good, but awful service (apart from the owner who was kind) and like I mentioned the female waitress should be replaced immediately. I'm sure many other people have had similar experiences with this...

Read moreLocation is not too far outside of Leeds city centre, with plenty of bus services passing by. The food and drink is outstanding (especially the lamb Bakhtiari, ayran/doogh yoghurt drink and saffron tea) and the portion sizes are enormous!
In addition, the prices are are excellent with each main meal dish costing an average of £15.00, something similar from other restaurants would cost double this price. As the portions are so enormous, you may not be able to finish eating all of the food. However the staff are very kind, helpful and courteous and will provide you with a box so you take the leftovers back home to enjoy the next day.
I would advise you to book a table in advance as seating capacity is limited (especially with covid restrictions). The only downside is that although the parking is free, it's on the main road and is limited, with the surrounding (student) being a little dodgy. Furthermore, as there are other restaurants/takeaways nearby using the same free car parking it may be the case you have to park further away and walk it to the restaurant.
Overall, to conclude, a fantastic little Persian restaurant, offering enormous portions of tasty food at great prices. I have been here several times, would definitely come here again.
The photo provided is the haftsin special (lamb and chicken Bakhtiari with lamb chops etc), with doogh/ yoghurt drink and a portion of both saffron rice and chips. The portion is large enough for too, and there was still enough leftovers to...
