I have been going to Manjaros for the past 10 years and have never had any need to complain. Unfortunately today the service and food was absolutely shocking. We ordered 2 hot shot parmesans to take out. The chips were ice cold and rock hard, they grazed the top of my mouth. The Parmesan itself was extremely cold and the cheese felt like old plastic cheese. When we asked for salad and sauces we were told this would be an additional charge?! Even though the menu says it’s served with it. I’m not sure for the reasoning behind this as we are still charged the same price?! When I rung to complain a lady called Alia answered the phone. Her customer service skills are non existent. She would not let me speak and kept talking over me. When I questioned why there was now an extra charge for the salad and sauces when I’ve always received them with my meals in the past she responded with: ‘I should know I work here’. She then went on to say I have so many things to complain about - that was the reason for the call?! To complain?! Her last request was for me to bring the food back to her at 10.30 at night for me to prove my complaints are correct stating ‘you’re the one with the problem so you need to bring the food back to me’. She also refused to give me her name on multiple occasions saying she’s not allowed. Surely if I was in store I would just be able to read her name badge?! I am really appalled that this is who Manjaros have chosen as their branch supervisor, she either needs training in customer service or replacing. You have lost loyal customers and we will be contacting the bank to dispute the payment - £32 is absolutely diabolical for...

Disheartening Experience at Manjaros

I regret to share my recent disappointing experience at Manjaros restaurant. Despite its previous reputation for excellent service and generous plate sizes, my recent visits have been marked by a noticeable decline in both areas.

The once impeccable service has taken a nosedive – the waitstaff seems lost and lacking supervision, resulting in a loud and unprofessional atmosphere. Furthermore, the size of the meals has consistently decreased over the past few years, irrespective of the restaurant's busyness, indicating a clear lack of leadership.

Since we had a terrible experience during our dine-in visits, we opted for online delivery to give them another chance. In my most recent attempt, I ordered the Wake Wake and Parmesan online, paying a staggering £13.90 for the Wake Wake. To my dismay, the portion size was shockingly inadequate, especially considering the price. This experience has compelled me to leave a negative review, something I rarely do, as I believe in giving establishments a chance for improvement. However, this time, I cannot overlook the discrepancy between the cost and the value received.

I strongly discourage others from wasting their hard-earned money on what felt like a kids' meal priced as an adult portion. Sadly, my understanding of the high team member turnover now seems apparent. I hope my feedback contributes to the necessary improvements...

I was looking forward to Manjaros Leeds with my friends yesterday. We got there around 7pm as we travelled from Sheffield, got seated, waited around 10mins to place the order. The staff member who serviced us was very rude to my friends. We asked him if he can provide tap water for medical reasons. He refused said you have to buy our bottled water. my friend said can we bring our own water in he said no, we only allow alcohol to be brought in as we are HALAL Restaurant. That does not make sense, halal restaurant which allows alcohol to be brought in and allowed to pour alcohol into the glasses proved by MANJAROS, I DONT CONSIDER THIS HALAL. Then the staff member pointed out he was the Manager. This manager if he is saying this is halal restaurant then clearly they should serve tap water for FREE as this is the HALAL way.

Water is a Blessing from Allah

Allah (SWT) describes water as a gift from the heavens to support the sustenance of human life.

We must of ordered food costing over £100 yesterday but the rude attitude from this Manager. Did not deserve our money, we were put off by the Manager behaviour. Even if the food would off been great it would off tasted bitter because of the Manager.

WE WALKED OUT. 1 min down the road you we went to My Lahores, we had great time staff was amazing, plus the tap water was proved to us.

I will avoid MANJAROS Leeds because of this...
