We hosted a corporate event here in October 2023 with around 40 in attendance. The staff were fantastic, thank you Jess. The prelude organising the event was smooth and easy, and they were on the ball helping us out. They offered good suggestions to help us maximise the space, and were on hand through the afternoon assisting us. The venue itself was a charm, really well decorated, ambient light, a good variety of plants, and the background music was spot on. The venue itself created a warm and intimate atmosphere among our guests, I believe everyone had a jolly old time. Abundance of parking was also useful for delegates bringing banners, give-aways etc. They also provided dinner for the event, the roast chicken was good, but the vegetables stole the show imo. Also raspberry tart for dessert was great. The event came well within budget, and there weren't any extra fees etc. They require bar tab to be paid up-front which is understandable, and they were very good at refunding unspent monies. I really cannot recommend The Faversham enough for a Leeds city centre events...
Read moreWe had our wedding celebrations at The Faversham a few weeks ago and still smiling thinking about how amazing it was. It simply would not have been so fun, relaxed and special had it not been for the incredible staff and setting of The Faversham. The general manager Jess is one of the kindest, professional and laidback individual working in events I have EVER met and I know better than most what a stressful industry it can be. From the very beginning, she was professional, cool, calm and collected. The venue itself is beautiful, with all of our guests commenting on what a fab place it was. The food was SENSATIONAL. Thank you to the chefs for creating such excellent dishes and cooking everything to perfection. The bar staff were like ninjas, patient, seamless and had a great attitude all day. Thank you :). Everything ran like clockwork and any little hiccups were handled brilliantly and with true warmth. We cannot thank you all enough for making our wedding...
Read moreThe food is usually quite nice but some of the staff are extremely rude to customers and a young man with grey hair and a star tattoo on his neck comes across as particularly unwelcoming. He'll barge through people waiting to be seated without an "excuse me, please" but with a huff, he'll tell customers to order at the bar when the other staff say not to, he has no welcoming patter or smile, seemingly lacks every skill needed for a customer facing role - I have worked in service industry management myself so see this both as customer and provider. They also have real issues with stock control, with such a small menu they shouldn't be starting a day without one item, let alone several of the items. It has become a running joke to ask "What isn't on today?". The soup is always very good, I think it is home made. The man with a ponytail and the very petite waitress should train the others in politeness and common courtesy. Then it would be a much nicer...
