We visited Heavenly Desserts on Leeds Road in Bradford as a family of 8, excited for a treat - but unfortunately the experience was far from "Heavenly." The only male staff member working upstairs that night - a skinny lad who looked to be in his early 20s in particular who was incredibly rude, condescending & impolite throughout our visit. He was sniggering at us and seemed very full of himself, slouching around the keyosk desk next to our table, and lingering so close it felt intrusive as if he was eves dropping. Things got worse when we tried to place our order. My wife thoughtfully written our order down on her phone to make things easier - but instead of listening and taking it down for himself, he demanded to see her phone, like it was too much effort for him to do his actual job. Completely unacceptable behaviour. When we tried to ask for help or service, his body language was completely closed off and dismissive, like we were bothering him just by being there. It made us all feel very uncomfortable. We chose to ignore it at the time to avoid a scene, but it really put a dampener on what should have been a good family outing. Needless to say, we didnt order a thing. We quietly got up & left without causing drama. Thankfully, we ended up at Icestone Desserts just a bit further down the road - and the difference was night & day. The staff were absolutely lovely. Small gestures to show that they value their customers, that may not seem alot at first but mean everything to people like us. That's what good service looks like. It's a shame Heavenly Desserts let us down so badly on what was meant to be a special occasion for my family to get together. Definitely won't be returning again...

The only issue you may face is parking but generally a side street is fine. The last order has to be in for 11:45 as they close at midnight (Friday) Luckily, we got in at 11:30, we were greeted with lovely staff, and being that time of the night we were the only customers (4). Staff members wear face masks as precautions and have Sanitiser displayed.
I always get the Classic Victoria Sponge Cake with Hot Custard along with an English Breakfast Tea. The chocolate fudge cake, brownies are also a delight.
Beautiful range to suit that sweet tooth of yours. A classic book menu which has many options to choose from.
I would suggest couples come to Leeds Heavenly Desserts, even family as the Bradford location is always busy and not always my preference.
It is a beautiful place inside, decor is beautiful and the staff are pleasant. They allow you time to choose and provide options if you are confused by asking the right questions.
I don't know the staff that served us, the lady who was getting ready to clean when we walked in. If you can provide her with our gratitude and her brilliant service. Always...
Read moreThird time coming, each time gets worse and worser in terms of the customer service. Foods mid, you can make it at home. Nothing worthy of its name “Heavenly desserts”. As for customer service, today we walked in only one other customer besides us. Proceeded to wait 10 minutes to get our orders in but nothing alas. Therefore, I went to the front and said “I’m ready to order” only to be reprimanded with “please Return to your seat ma’am”. Firstly, rude. I felt like a kid in school who was misbehaving. Then food gets served. Mine coming a few minutes later despite being ordered at the same time. The previous times I’ve come food was served at the same time. Further, mine was significantly less than my friends who ordered the same thing. I’d much rather walk to Sainsbury’s get some ice cream, meringue and fruit and make my own improved version of the so called “heavenly desserts”. More delicious and served without a side of rudeness.
P.s every time we come in, the dessert is different despite being the same, sometimes there is frozen strawberries sometimes the dough is barely cooked. This time the brownie sundae had burnt brownies.
I don’t...
