Had the Vegan Korean Sandwich, a mock chicken fillet in a bun with Korean glaze (tasted like gocuhjang), Asian slaw, and a side of fries.

The fillet had a satisfying delicate crunch that was accompanyed by a solid crunch from the lettuce. Gocuhjang can sometimes be overpowering but the glaze was applied sparingly, providing an umami richness that became part of the overall flavour profile. I didn't find myself wishing for more.

The fries were at first a bit anemic but they were tasty nevertheless and I enjoyed them.

Would recommend Hoist House as a place for vegan/plant-based; the main option being vegan chicken. Plant-based cheese is also avaliable...
