Initial impression was quite good. Nice place with pleasant decor. We were a group of 4 and were seated quickly and enjoyed our first hour or so but that soon changed. First issue was when I decided to go to the loo. Before I even reached the ladies the smell was astonishing. I have to point out that I have worked in the care sector for 35 plus years and it takes a lot for me to react to unpleasant odours but the overwhelming stench of urine was appalling. Then I went through the door to face 6 cubicles, 2 without doors and another without a seat, so there were only 3 usable rooms. As the evening progressed I visited the toilet on 4 occasions in total and the 3 usable cubicles ran out of paper. Not good!!! Then the staff need customer service training. On one occasion a young man was collecting glasses and went to pick up a glass from our table and was asked politely to leave it as it was not finished and we received the sarcastic comment "okay I'll leave your water". Not good but the worst was the man I believe to be the manager. A second work party of 3, unplanned I add, came to the pub and we asked if they could join us at the next table as it was free, but we were refused ,being told we would talk to them and potentially get too close, so they were seated further into the pub. Silly really considering we had 3 different neighbours at the said table and we stuck up conversation with each group. We had to pass our friends table every time we went to use the facilities and all stopped to say 'Hi' each time but were moved on in seconds. We understand the restrictions and would have been more understanding and compliant under any other circumstances, however, on 2 other occasions, 2 separate ladies approached their table, one for approximately 15 minutes and neither were moved on. Double standards or what. None of this would have happened had they been allowed to use the table next to us. To add insult to injury, the manager, approached our table, informed us that he had cancelled the order we had just placed, telling me I would receive a refund, because we had not adhered to the social distance rules and we were asked to leave. We were on the lookout for a spot to enjoy some quick drinks, and stumbling upon this pub turned out to be a stroke of luck.

The drink selection was top-notch, and the 2 for 1 cocktails were an unbeatable deal. We couldn't resist and ended up with two delightful cocktails each. The 10 shots of Cherry Sourz, also on a special offer, added an extra kick to our evening. While we didn't order any, the Beer selection also seemed quite large and affordable.

The staff were not only friendly but impressively efficient; our drinks were prepared swiftly, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable.

The lively atmosphere, coupled with multiple TVs showcasing different sports, created an engaging backdrop. Football and horse racing provided entertainment as we enjoyed our drinks.

The pub's location is conveniently easy to get to, making it an ideal choice for a spontaneous night out.

Second time eating here even though I drink here with my mates frequently and we spend a decent amount of money on food and drinks" Everytime I've ordered food I've waited for far too long" gone to the bar to see were my order is after both times an hour" no complementary refund or drink and an absolute shambles both times each time" and just been fobbed off and then what makes it even worse the same staff who had served me beforehand had taken my order" just made up excuses that the reason they had left my food on the table because there was no one there they left my food on the table even thought I've requested it so many times.
