This chain of dessert restaurants serve hand-crafted, delightful desserts with theatrical flair in luxurious, chic and elegant surroundings. If you have a sweet tooth and LOVE chocolate like me, then I implore you to visit this spectacular dessert restaurant; it’s like a bit of heaven on Earth. The Leeds venue is like walking into a marble-effect, light pink, dessert grotto. [AD|INVITE]

Such passion & love goes into the delectable desserts here, not just into making them taste so indulgent and delicious, but also in presenting them so wonderfully with added theatrics, that it makes you feel special. My friend Alisha and I had such a lovely lunch here on a Sunday, and was spoilt rotten by our server Vita. The restaurant, based in The Light in Leeds, was quiet at the time of our visit. But at least that meant we could have a really good nosey around and enjoy our desserts.

We tried some Summer Specials of Velvet Chocolate Strawberries – strawberries COVERED in velvety rich chocolate from their very own chocolate taps & the Blue Passion mocktail, a small taste of sunshine.

We also devoured;

The Signature San Sebastian Cheesecake with Pistachio Sauce Pour – wow Pistachio Pancake Stack Come Get Me Molten Choc Cake (not very oozy in the middle, but rich and moist) Strawberry Delight Mocktail The fresh fruit & mocktails gave us a refreshing palette cleanse between all the cream, chocolate and cake, which meant we could keep on feasting on the amazing treats.

Also available; Milkcakes, French Toast, Waffles/Croffles, Milkshakes, Cookie Dough – AND MORE. Gluten Free & Vegan Options and Kids Menu available also. AND The Infamous Matilda Cake is now available in their stores, Go Bruce!!

I visited Leeds by popular request from a friend who wanted to give me a city tour. I have been to Haute Dolci before, in both Trafford Centre and on Wilmslow Road in Manchester. This chain is based at The Light in Leeds city centre. We came at around 7.30pm, and it was not busy at all. We were very happy about that.

Haute Dolci is quite a bougie but affordable food place, with many options costing less than £10. It is 100% halal. Dolci offers mostly desserts, but also brunch and hot/cold drink options. What I like about Dolci is that high-quality ingredients are always used, and the staff take great care in preparing food and drinks. The presentation is also beautiful too.

This branch in particular was stunning! Very picturesque. I liked how it was very spacious compared to other branches. My favourite aspect was the giant mirror situated above the food preparation counter. You can actually see the staff making your food! Please watch my video :)

On this occasion, my friend and I shared a dessert and we both got drinks. The Cookie Dough was hot, not buttery in taste, and very flavourful with the additional chocolate chunks. This dessert comes with gelato, and an extra pot of melted chocolate, which really hit the sweet spot! The dessert itself was very tasty.

The Blue Sapphire Specialty Latte was good. It was a sweetened latte and had a beautiful blue colour. However, it wasn’t very unique when it came to taste - not sure if I would buy it again. The Strawberry Delight mocktail was full of flavour. It’s a very satisfying drink to keep you cool. We definitely recommend you try the mocktails at Dolci as each one has a unique taste.

Overall, we had a lovely time here. Members of staff, such as Niat (the lady with platted hair in my video), were very inviting and helpful. Thank you for such a lovely time,...

Review for Haute Dolci

I recently visited Haute Dolci with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of what we had hoped for. We spent nearly £90 on what turned out to be an overpriced and underwhelming meal. The desserts were mediocre at best, certainly not worth the premium price tag. What really put us off was the overall lack of transparency and poor service.

To start, the server who took our order—who we assume was the manager or owner—asked if we wanted raspberries or strawberries with our desserts. At no point were we informed that these would come at an extra cost. This lack of clarity felt deceptive and left a bad taste in our mouths.

The service itself was disorganised. We were given only one menu between the four of us, and it was only after we voiced our frustration that additional menus were provided. To add to this, our desserts were served before our drinks, and due to the lack of staff (only 1-2 people serving), some of us received our desserts several minutes apart. This staggered service meant that we couldn’t enjoy our desserts together, which further dampened the experience.

The cleanliness of the establishment was another major issue. The toilets were in a nasty state, and there was an unpleasant body odour smell wafting from an employee within the restaurant. This, combined with the lackluster food and poor service, made for a thoroughly unpleasant experience.

In short, Haute Dolci was a disappointment. We won’t be returning for overpriced desserts that we could easily find elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. Save your money and your time—there are far better places to enjoy a...

Boy oh boy two words - daylight robbery. We went here for date night after dinner and there was a queue in which we waited, but here comes the first red flag. Couple in front of us and the couple in front of them were assigned a booth seat, when we were served we were given a regular table seat so I asked if we could be moved to a booth seat to which the server responded ‘no sorry they’re for bookings only’ and I challenged responding that I don’t think they were because they came the same time as us and said that they were a walk-in also, so was infuriated from the start by why we weren’t given the same choice. We then got seated, the high prices were expected as the place was in the city centre compared to most dessert places I went to, the waitress then asked if we wanted strawberries with the dessert which we agreed to, turns out these strawberries were 2.60. For 3 strawberries cut into 3.. We then spoke to the manager about this and he defended giving us two examples, which made no sense by the way. His examples to his defense were: If you go to Nando’s and choose a flavour for the chicken you have to pay No you don’t, Nando’s don’t charge you for spice? If you go to Sainsbury’s and get some strawberries you’d have to pay for them. Well yes I’m going to a supermarket to pay for strawberries of course I’m going to pay for them? I just felt the entire experience was very alien to us, we weren’t treated the same as other customers and the fact that everything incurs a cost without labelling or clarifying has tarnished my view on this place. Would not go again.
