Ottimo — Restaurant in Leeds

We live in one of the flats above the row of businesses including Ottimos and have been meaning to order from them for the longest time. Whilst I’ve always been put off my more “gourmet” pizzas, we kept hearing great things and finally got round to doing it last night - and wow. Not only are the staff lovely but the pizzas were absolutely insane. The price for something so high quality and delicious is about what you’d pay for a large Dominos or Papa Johns, and it’s also a large pizza itself. My housemate and our friend and I got one each (Ham and Pineapple, Pepperoni, and I think? A Margherita but not sure) - and now I think the three of us are hooked. Had the most incredible evening at Ottimo, from the minute we walked in to us leaving the staff couldn’t do enough for us! The drink choices were amazing, If you love gin they have a great selection aswell as some unreal cocktails! The food was genuinely out of this world, super flavourful and just overall 10/10! We shared the Gamberetto and the Ottimo Carne Piccante - both were stunning and already can’t wait to go back to eat it all over again! Definitely recommend getting the Pesto Genovese dip aswell, just wow! To finish up we had the lemoncello & Pistachio Tiramisu, aswell as some Pistachio ice cream. Beautiful pizza - high quality, simple ingredients combined with great culinary expertise to make delicious mouthfuls. I’ve never noticed such tomatoey tomato sauce before and it was sublime with the creamy, melty mozzarella. The pepperoni pizza was refined and classy, yet still very much recognisable. A great balance of flavours all round. Also friendly staff and great atmosphere.
