The Station House Garforth — Restaurant in Leeds

A little taste of Italy right on our doorstep! An experience like no other…. It’s like going to a friends house for tea….. and what a tea! In what used to be a station house you literally eat in what would originally have been a living room, a bedroom or a sitting room. We were lucky enough to get a room upstairs which was all ours! Lovely decor, very welcoming feel to it. We were made to feel at home and by the time we left you feel as though you eaten at a friends house. The food was incredible! Best garlic mushrooms I’ve ever eaten. Lasagna was fantastic, pizza incredible and there was a great choice of food on the menu. Definitely coming back. Portions are big and I left ready to burst. The owners are very attentive to your needs and the young man serving was polite and set a great example of what customer service is all about. Worth checking out? Yes Food great? Yes Coming back? UPDATED 7/11/20 Absolutely wonderful place, always! Beautiful fresh food every visit. Tonight special menu... PUGLIAN TASTING MENU. SUPERB . Menu for tonight included in pictures. Also visited again 3/12/20 Starters tonight, pizza garlic bread with tomato and mozzarella plus antipasta misto. Then Ravoli Nduja Pecorino and Lasagna Casareccia with grilled vegetables and rosemary potatoes. Followed by fig and walnut gelato and tiramisu for my better half and four mini desserts for me. Not sure about low calorie? Due to Covid19 2 they've now added a takeaway menu, as per picture below. Tried the new Takaway service tonight (7/11/20) and ordered a pepperoni pizza with blue cheese with side salad. Service from coffee hatch on platform. Very Covid19 aware. May order via Pronto Pronto app. Best takeaway pizza ever...

A Hidden Gem That Feels Like Home 🇮🇹🍷🍕

I don’t say this lightly: I had the best pizza of my life here. Perfectly crisp base, rich tomato sauce, and toppings that tasted like they were handpicked in the Italian countryside. Paired with a glass of beautifully balanced wine, it was pure joy from the first bite to the last.

And just when I thought the meal couldn’t be topped, out came the dessert—a pasty shell filled with velvety pistachio ice cream. It was hands down the most memorable dessert I’ve had in years. A true showstopper.

The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of charm. It feels more like being invited into someone’s home than dining out. The lady owner is an absolute delight—gracious, passionate, and clearly pours her heart into every detail.
