Server got our order wrong at the till, corrected herself when relaying it back but after a longer than normal wait, they still brought the wrong food. They palmed the food off on a nearby table with a large group which was less wasteful I suppose but it meant they'd all be getting their food at different times (we noticed this table kept having the wrong food brought over as well). We waited a bit longer then a server came over and told us they'd made the wrong food so they were going to get started on ours then and we'd be waiting longer again. We were ok with this but I asked if they could bring out my toddler's food asap because he was hungry and grumpy at this point. They did which was good but we didn't get to eat together as a family. We finally received the right food after about 30-40 minutes but they'd left our extra items off (which they had brought with the first, incorrect order). I asked for them and the server brought only one so I mentioned that we'd order one extra for each meal (2 altogether). He just never came back with it so we paid for the extra item and didn't receive it. Poor service aside, the food was a good standard and most of the staff were friendly enough. Just not at all what we expect when we come to a Wetherspoons as it's usually far better than this. Staff...
Read moreThe new pub itself is not bad, feels a lot bigger and there is a better range of beer. It's good that they've finally got Efes back, I've missed having a bottle of that stuff. The interior decor does make it feel a lot more Spoons-y than it used to be,
But why do they now need bouncers on the door? And why are they telling people where they can and can't smoke outside? People are no longer allowed to have a cigarette out front, which was never the case in the many years I've been going, never the case at any other Wetherspoons, and never the case in any drinking establishment in general. People are also being moved on when lighting up a cigarette outside the doors around the back. Surely there's no legal obligation for smokers to have to go to some designated area, as the laws only state that smoking indoors is prohibited.
Even though it's always been a busy pub, it's never been a rowdy one and I've only ever seen one instance of trouble in all these years of my regular attendance, so I don't see why they've suddenly brought them in.
It's good to have one of my favourite drinking establishments in Leeds back, but they need to go easy on the segregation of smokers. As I said, this has NEVER been a thing at any pub or bar...
Read moreI have been to The Three Hulats regularly for years and the food is usually okay (for Wetherspoons pub grub). Dissapointed tonight though ordered my usual vege burger, it was cold. I advised the waitress of this, she apologised and said she would sort it and took my meal away. she then brought it back flaming hot. Unfortunately it had just been placed in the microwave to reheat, not just the burger but also the bread bun, chips, onion rings and the SALAD. I was refunded for the meal but when your out as a group of four and 3 of them eat and you don't it's just a bit rubbish. The supervisor on duty was very nice about it when i said i was a bit annoyed he said he was too, he offered to have another meal cooked for me but by this time two of the group had almost finished so i declined. The worst thing was at the end of it all the girl who had taken my food to be replaced (microwaved) then cut us dirty looks to the point that my husband didn't finish his meal in the end. Went next door to lidl to buys snacks instead. Just so i don't sound like a complete moaner i would like to add that one of the best breakfasts i have ever had was at Wetherspoons in Utoxeter gorgeous and...
