I heard about Form from a family friend, and there’s no better recommendation than that of a frien as far as I am concerned, especially when it is for such an important decision as buying an engagement ring! My friend lives near Form, and I’d seen his wife’s rings and loved them. Despite not being in the area myself, I was impressed enough with the design and quality I’d seen, and my friend’s praise, that when I knew I was going to ask my wife to marry me, contacting Tim, Gary and Jennie was my first thought. I rang Tim and had a preliminary conversation with him. He made me feel completely at ease and comfortable as we discussed ideas. So much so I decided to make the 200 mile round trip to see him at his studio. I thinks that’s testament enough of the length I was prepared to go to see somebody I felt I could trust. Once there I was welcomed by Jennie and made to feel completely comfortable. It’s a lovely studio, and it was great to see lots of beautiful messages and photos on the wall from previous and current happy clients, with pictures of them getting engaged, on honeymoon etc from all over the world! I knew I’d made the right decision. I had an idea in my head of what I wanted, so Tim talked me through the different types and styles of diamonds, what to look for and the associated costs, and sketched my design. There was no pressure at all, and I left it to Tim to source the right diamond for my engagement ring. He rang me numerous times to keep me up to date on his search, and when he found the right one I knew I could trust him and that I did not need to see it before he used it. The result was spectacular! A perfect, beautiful diamond solitaire set in platinum with six claws. I surprised my wife and proposed as the sun set over Lake Conniston whilst on a romantic walk. She had no idea it was coming. I had a bottle of chilled champagne squirrelled away in my bag with two glasses. I knew by her reaction that the ring was perfect for her and exactly what she wanted! Safe to say I returned to Form to buy our wedding bands, both in platinum and my wife’s studded with more diamonds. Well they are a girl’s best friend! I’ll be back for the eternity ring and any other items of jewellery I need in the future. I really can’t recommend Tim, Gary and Jennie enough. Trust them and I promise you won’t be disappointed! I first met Gary when I was looking for an engagement ring. I had first heard about Form Bespoke Jewellers Ltd when I received a recommendation from a family friend. My experience up until this point with jewellers was limited only to high street vendors and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was looking to redesign an old family ring and I wasn’t even sure if it would be possible.

The wonderful thing here is that you mainly deal with a single person - for me that was Gary Thompson, one of the jewellers. Every time I went to the office Gary would see me personally and we would talk through each stage of the process. On the odd occasion that Gary was not available I was seen by another member of the team - all of whom were not only lovely but also very well organised and professional.

All of this personal care you would think comes at a significant financial cost. I however have found that the prices were extremely fair. In fact I have been so happy with the service that although my now-wife and I were in Australia at the time we still asked Gary to help us organise our wedding bands which he managed to turn round on tight schedule in time for our ceremony.

If you’re looking to get a piece of jewellery made that is of any significance I would highly recommend using Form - they’re brilliant and Leeds is very lucky...

Top marks all round. I had an engagement ring made to spec with the entire process completed remotely. Given that I wouldn't be able to visit the business in person I did a fair bit of diligence beforehand to satisfy myself that everything looked legitimate (I can risk £20 online but not a few thousand). I described what I was after which had some specialist design features and had a lengthy back and forth via email and phone sharing both pictures and measurements to confirm the design and gemstones along with pricing options. They kept me informed throughout and ran through ideas plus provided me with what turned out to be pretty accurate CAD drawings of the design. Once happy with everything I gave my approval and was given a timescale to completion. I received the ring via signed delivery and the other half loved it. It's always a bit of a concern buying a high priced item effectively online but everything here went smoothly and nothing was rushed.
