Racist management team. Don’t bother working here. They can’t get simple tasks done without botching it some way. The pay and the hours you receive ain’t worth it for the way you work. Heavy improvements needed. The store would be on fire and they would convince everyone the store is running smoothly. I recommend not working here as the stress is too much. While the management team did support me during my time, the place in the last few months became worse. The way we was being treated, spoken about behind our backs. The amount of people of colour receiving ROCs. After Yamina (the old AM) had left a couple of us had predicted they would become racist. The store used to be fun to work for but in the last few months it’s genuinely not worth it anymore. The core values of Wingstop of fun and authenticity aren’t being met, they used to but not anymore. I’m not sure if it’s pressure from HR and it’s being thrown down, but it needs change. Another issue is non of the crew members can speak up about it due to the fear of getting told off or losing hours. If you was to ask them anonymously they would agree with what I have said. Due to the fakeness of how they are, big smiles on there faces when they see you and then proceeding to talk bad about you to other managers. They are trying to take this down but free speech exists and I am allowed to review how i have experienced working here. I do fear and pray for the safety of the current crew members. Instead of acting fake and doing your best to try take down my honest review and acting like everything is all fine, you should start caring about about staff and allow them speak up. And maybe when launching investigations for gross misconduct, investigate yourself for theft for all them bottles of coke your stole from the fridge which is against...
Read moreNew store opened in White Rose, we bought a bunch of food to try. The place is noisy!! Spoilt the visit, staff were having to shout over the music, having to repeat themselves to make themselves heard, it was ridiculous, I suggested turning the volume down to help both staff and customers but management said no not allowed. I hope they get this ironed out!! Just a tip, buy food to take out and go sit elsewhere in the mall. Their milkshakes are way too expensive at £5 esp when you can nip across to McDonald’s and pay £2.79, after sampling I can tell you McDonald’s milkshakes are just as nice if not better and I’m not a fan of McDonald’s.. but there you have it. Get saving!!! You also get the points at McD. to my knowledge. I ordered a BBQ burger priced around 6/7 quid.. it wasn’t bad to be fair. I also ordered boneless wings but we didn’t enjoy these as much as the burger. Their fries were way too salty, so if you suffer with water retention do give these a miss! Overall would I go back? Maybe if my grandson was nagging me for some loaded fries.. otherwise I can get better food elsewhere for a lot less that’s actually better for my body. We spent 27 quid for two people, which I would rather spend on a nice steak. Having their own toilet facilities was nice as I needed to wash my hands before driving home.. take wet wipes kids do get very messy...
Read moreHaving had a fairly disappointing experience at the Wingstop in Manchester I was a bit reluctant to visit this new one but I avoided the burger in favour of tenders and was impressed.
The service is top-notch from ordering right through to leaving, attentive but not intrusive and very friendly.
The tenders live up to their name and the atomic sauce is as hot as it should be, it's a proper hot(ish) sauce not a marketing exercise like some outlets offer. The regular portion of lemon pepper fries was 3x bigger than I got in Manchester, the flavours were a little light but pleasant all the same.
My only grumble, and the reason for a 4* not a 5*, is the music. The "drill" style isn't to my taste but I'm open minded enough to deal with that, it's the high volume and piercing treble which then makes people have to talk louder until it's just one big cacophony and quite off-putting.
I'd revisit but I'd probably take away and sit in the main food court or go home with it just to escape the music.
Relatively quiet at 11:30am on a Thursday, long queues and no seats 30...
