We had food delivered from here on Saturday and I was very impressed. The dishes ranged from good to excellent. The service was exceptionally good and the guy I spoke to on the phone was welcoming courteous and friendly. None of that would have mattered if the food was disappointing but it wasn't. Enjoyed it thoroughly and I'm going to use it it as my go-to now. This was the last of the the well rated Indian restaurants in the area that I've tried. You can say this restaurant is consistent. Consistently poor. I used to go to this restaurant in the 80's and the food was wonderful. Now it's just plain awful. I've given it 3 chances this year to see if my visit was just a one off. Afraid not. To be fair, eating in is better than take out. But only by a small margin. Question: What kind of Indian restaurant doesn't make their own chapattis? Answer: This one. Shocking. I wouldn't mind so much but they are not alone. Worst Indian restaurant i ever ate in.. please dont waste your money here.. i ordered samosa (they fried readymade rumali roti samosa and gave), aloo chaat (they gave tasteless spiceless aloo sabzi over a poori, when complained, staff said he wasn't aware of what is aloo chaat), lamb tikka biryani (they gave fried rice, non spicy, undercooked hard dry meat), sag paneer (without any much paneer pieces), peshawari roti (this was okay)... We wasted 35 pounds here... Even the bill was hand written one... Not sure if they pay...
