It's a spoons .The place is tired , No understanding of disability rights, The Irish manager ( used Irish cause I didn't catch he name) Rude, and lack of understanding of the disability act and equality act, Too many covers making it difficult for wheelchair users or anyone using disability aids, Quoting the licencing laws when trying to justify not allowing fully qualified hearing complex needs assistant dog in the pub, Spoke with a derogatory done, to a group of people with neurodiversity When asked what training had he been giving to refuse complex needs dogs, He said it was done on line, so then asked who run it , he said he didn't know, only that he had to do it, I felt sorry with the young lady who had been helping us she works for the pub and is aware of complex needs, The manager managed to make the whole table feel uneasy and consequently the charity that I am working with will not be using that spoons again, But as the manager made it clear that was our choice, we are very busy anyway, I personally got accosted by a drunk within five mins of being there, there were children having melt downs, people being rude to others, but the lack of compassion and understanding of the disability act and equality act is amazing , This has to be up there with one of the worse spoons I personally have visited, and we will be posting the same review across many platforms, dirty pub as well, it needs a make over a good clean and most definitely a dust. If you're going to have alcoves with old books on them dust them because it's starting to fall on the food. if you look at the picture with the dead plants and dirty bin outside , gives u a good idea what its like inside,

It was very busy on the Sat we went.. Which is fine.. You cannot book a table.. Just go in and search or wait till any are available. We did find two for our party of 7. One table high up with stools and other lower between us it was fine just put the ones on stools that could get up there unlike me lol. The main meals were nice i had burger and chips.. A little greasy tangy tasting but i guess if i want chips it's expected. My sister had another type of burger and she got lots of onion rings and she gave me one and they were spot on. The tables were one in front one behind so we turned our chairs to chat which was fine too.. As not seen my sis in ages so good to chat. I've alway's been a fan of Whether spoons and it was me who chose the pub. I've not been to one in years though so was looking forwards to it. The only downfall was that theirs no Sundae type icecreams in tall glass. We did choose some with icecream.. But the icecream was vertially melted by time we got it. Plus couple of us tried crunchy desert with icecream their was hardly anything in the bowl on receiving it. The service was good and didn't keep us waiting long in between meals. In the pics the size of the crunchy desert tiny

Tasty food, good service and friendly. The Acorn in was extremely busy with most tables taken. A couple just leaving attracted our attention as they could see we hadn't a seat. The cheaper two meal section on the had gone but the classic meals are still excellent value as is the daily promotion with drinks. Service was very quick considering how busy it was. Tables were cleared quickly and menus and tables were seen to be cleane. Good range of beers and free top up coffees. Wetherspoon has saved many old buildings and offer a great service and a provide a good community feel.Seats and finishes are looking a bit tired many of the pubd but it's s sign of how well used they are. It's good to a relatively new name on the high street still flourishing.

I went in with my friends to have a quick drink before a bottomless brunch we had planned at 2. We ordered our drinks on the app with about 20 minutes till our bottomless started. After 10 minutes we started getting a bit short for time so i went up to the bar and spoke to a very nice woman just sayin we’d been waiting awhile for our drinks and we had to go soon so just asking for an update on how long it would be. She was really kind about it but when she called another girl over to ask about what was happening with the drinks the other girl quite rudely told me she’d just sent them over to the table (which is my bad I was just getting worried that we wouldn’t make it to our bottomless on time). I went back to my table and a man was there putting the drinks on. As i sat down i said to my friend the girl at the bar was a bit rude to me. The man serving our drinks then proceeded to try and lecture me and belittle me for being upset about the way the girl spoke to me. He told me “can’t you see that we’re busy? you should be expecting to wait 20 minutes for your drinks when it’s like this (having worked in hospitality i think that’s absolutely ridiculous). He also said if I was that bothered about the timing of my drink I should have gone up to the bar and showed them the order so they could make them quicker and i told him about 7 times that that is exactly what I tried to do. I tried to tell him that I was only trying to politely ask the bar staff how long the drinks were expected to be as we had somewhere to go soon but he carried on having a go at me so much that many other tables started staring at us. It was beginning to get really embarrassing so i said to him listen we’ve got our drinks i’m happy just leave us to drink our drinks. He then told me that if I wasn’t going to listen to him (bare in mind he’d been talking at us for 5 minutes straight) then we could get out of the pub. My friend told me his name was Tom but I’m personally not sure he had long hair and was working on the 18th jan is all I know. On top of all that all three of my group said their drinks tasted weird. I don’t want to diss the entire pub because the woman i spoke to initially at the bar was actually very lovely just a shame the other staff are rude and especially the man really...

What can I say… I work in the trade myself so I have somewhat of an idea of what we should be doing to make customers/guests happy.. walked in was already attitude at the bar by a very nervous shy girl with braids.. ordered a Budweiser and gin.. sat down beer tasted a little funny so as respectful guest I asked if I could change to a rose and pay the difference I then had to wait 6 mins for that do be ‘authorised’ as the supervisor was outside having a smoke… she then told the girl on bar that I needed to pay for the drink? I’m sorry as a customer if something doesn’t take right I’m not going to pay for something I haven’t consumed. I had two sips. Lines do not taste like they have been cleaned - as a pub owner myself in Lichfield. The service the attitude is disappointing and disgusting. And then for me to be sat down after getting my drink changed for all 3 ladies to be looking at myself and my auntie while laughing and gossiping as a customer made me feel beyond uncomfortable. And when I looked she turned away - honestly yourself as a supervisor who is responsible for the biggest drinks/hosp name in the business should learn how the customer/guest is normally 95% right whether you like it or not - I don’t appreciate her saying to me whatever when explained the beer doesn’t taste right. I don’t appreciate them as a team gossiping and making me feel uncomfortable and I definitely don’t appreciate the attitude - as said as manager myself in a pub would never let my customers or guests feel that way. Very disrespectful ladies on shift very rude. The “supervisor” who I would recommend you change her position has red/orange hair, vans, short shorts. The lady who served me had braids black shorts (again short) and white clear glasses - very rude also. The other lady didn’t really affect the experience but it was more so she was getting involved within that circle.

I would love to speak to a manager regarding my experience as I’m genuinely not happy.

Look forward to...

Was really disappointed with my visit here. Not so much about the food (typical weatherspoons nosh) or the atmosphere (it was very busy) but the reception I recieved when ordering 4 drinks after my daughters graduation from TMD Litchfield. Having travelled an 8.5 hr journey from Scotland for her Graduation we decided to visit Wetherspoons. After we found a table and ordered our drinks via the app, she and her friend were asked for ID when the drinks we had bought and paid for were brought to the table. (It was heartening to know that this establishment took under age drinking seriously). However when producing her Services ID card (which online weatherspoons states that they accept this form of ID) she was refused the alcoholic drink unless she could provide another form of ID? (Who carries two) I tried to explain that this was a celebrative drink and we were there only for one, that the ID was valid and I was her parent. I am 54, I was there with my friend who is 40 and my 15 year old son (it was well before 9pm and he was drinking coke). However she was told that she couldn't drink her drink in the premises. We were then left with a table of 4 drinks that had been paid for and one of the group wasn't allowed to drink hers? Awkward.. To put things into perspective, my daughter and her friend are both 20 years of age. My daughter has had a year from hell as she has battled a sudden diagnosis of Leukaemia. So as you can imagine, the fact that she was in remission, and had completed training made this one drink was extra special! To be refused this opportunity in such a way was awful and ruined what was to be a very special day. I fully understand that every establishment has its own rules but these rules should not be set in stone and a risk assessment of the situation should be carried out. We were clearly not a rowdy bunch of squaddies who where about to wreck havoc in this establishment.. SO TO PUT IT MILDLY I AM VERY VERY...
