Acropolis — Restaurant in Liverpool

Visited this restaurant with my daughter, partner and Granddaughter for my birthday. We were enjoying meal until my daughter found a hair in her dinner. We made the server aware and they said it was a hair from a lettuce. As my daughter is a chef she politely pointed it out it was not and was a black hair which you could plainly see. The server took her plate into the chef and we could instantly hear them laughing loudly in the back. The server again come back and offered a replacement meal which she declined and as no longer felt she could eat as it has put her off. The chef apparently offered to give us a discount off the meal and a free piece of cake. Upon receipt of the bill they had deducted £7.50 off the bill which we disagreed with and the server went into see him again to which we again heard loud laughing. The response was because you have ate half the meal they discounted half the price. We decided to pay the bill as couldn’t be bothered arguing the toss. One word to describe this place shocking!

I went last night with some work friends it looked lovely when I went in but thats the only positive I can give it. One staff was rude to my work colleague saying they had been there a number of years well maybe it’s time to retire! On arrival my drink was wrong which fair enough I was still given as the was just going to throw it away my starter came after everyone else’s was only cheesy garlic bread. So I ate mine just as the meal came out. Again mine didn’t come out instead they argued it wasn’t preordered even tho we had a copy on my friends phone which they didn’t want to see so I’m all I had to pay £35 for a hand full of chips, garlic bread and a drink shocking. As they didn’t make my meal until 20 mins after everyone else had finished I did say I’d cancel to which I was told it’s been made now. I had to pay for a meal that I no longer wanted or would eat as I was going for drinks after it and couldn’t take the ‘doggy’ bag in the pubs with me. Would...

Took my nephew in Feb 2025 and he loved it that much we've been back three times since. Most recent visit was 17th April 2025 for my other nephews 9th birthday. Staff made us all feel so welcome even remembered and addressed the kids by their names, know what food they like to order and how they like it. Make the kids feel so special and treat them like grown ups. To top it off my nephew was presented with half a chocolate cake and six scoops of ice cream as staff came out singing happy birthday for him. Finally they presented him with a card containing £5! Not many places give that kind of service. The kids won't go anywhere else. The food is also lovely and there's plenty we always end up taking goody bags home for the next day.
