Staff was pretty rude, which is a shame. They could barely hear anything we were saying. We were situated right next to the door so everyone could walk right by us. Other customers were also placed within 2 feet of us, breaking any social distancing restrictions, which was highly concerning. It took over an hour to receive our food as well. The menu is also littered with typos and spelling mistakes. Not sure how that happened. Nachos were complete garbage. Watery "salsa", 3 thick slices of jalapenos, a spoon full of guacamole and absolutely drowning in cheese. Melted mozzarella offered no flavour and a disgusting liquid cheese destroyed them, as can be seen in the pictures. Ruined. Big shame. Considering the price, that's really disappointing. The mains was good. Burrito was just a singular unfortunately and covered in sauce. Making it unnecessarily messy. The steak and everything else was nice although the server's messed it up and gave us chips rather than wedges. Overall, it's meh, and high priced meh at that.

Absolutely awful, can honestly say one of the worse meals we’ve ever had. We placed a phone order for delivery at 8pm got told by the staff on the phone (who hardly knew anything) it would be 45 mins at the most, 9.35pm the food arrived! Was thinking of asking them to come back for breakfast it was that late. We ordered fillet steak, sea bass, chips, rice, salad, chicken wings. The fillet steak was quite fatty, the sea bass as you can see in my photo was bone dry and so over cooked. The chicken wings where awful but the dog did enjoy them so wasn’t so bad. The rice they call Mexican rice was the same as the uncle bens pkt rice in my cupboard. We paid over fifty quid for this meal that was worth I would say twenty quid. By this time we where absolutely starved we had waited that long so we ate what we could but will definitely not be returning back to this place for sure. We just put it down to a bad experience.

We were a party of 12 ,who chose to celebrate my husband's birthday, We were welcomed and shown to our reserved table,As it was a birthday celebration his first drink was free, this was such a lovely touch. The food was lovely and well cooked, As we came to the end of our main meal the chef asked my daughter whose birthday it was, a little while later ,a special complementary dessert was brought out to my husband ,then to top it off a photo was taken of us and a free shot was offered to us all.We all had a fabulous evening with great food and very attentive service from all the staff.I would definitely recommend this venue.I would recommend that if you want to make sure of a table that a booking is made as this is a large venue.A massive thank you to churrasco restaurant and staff.

Teething Problems..

This is a new restaurant, so as a lover of the Mexican it replaced I was keen to try this place out… having visited yesterday I thought id leave the owner some (hopefully) helpful advice...

STAFFING - The place was fully packed yesterday with just one poor waiter run off his feet, the guy needs help URGENTLY.

FOOD - We ordered the chicken selects (at £6ish) for a starter - they were tiny, visibly burnt and almost impossible to eat, so... off to a bad start - what compounded this is that 2-3 separate staff had handled them and non noticed the burning smell or the charcoal look to them? - I was quite disappointed by that.

We also ordered the potatoes (again over £6) - these where better, but again VERY small, and if your charging £6 for 1 new-potato cut in half don’t then charge extra for a bit of bacon on top - at that price point a bit of bacon should be included!

So the starters where a no-go sadly, BUT...the beef chimichanga I received for the main was ABSOLUNTELY FANTASTIC and id recommend it to anyone if there visiting - I would say that plain rice with no sauce at all on the side is quite literally prison-food in some countries. - Spice up the side a bit, chips? sauce? side-salad? anything would be better.

Tacos, Lovely too... but problem with the menu (see menu bit below) as I’m sure it said it came with chicken/beef (with yet another upgrade of a different beef/chicken too) but we received a vegetarian one? - if your charging a premium please include a bit of meat as standard - especially if its a key part of the dish, it would be like ordering spagbol and just getting the noodles in an Italian haha - makes no sense.

MENU - unfathomable - they need to chuck it in the bin and start again..

It says in big, bold, orange writing at the top of the page that ‘all steaks come with a side and chips’ - but then its directly followed by a price list of ‘sides and chips for your steak’ - so which one is it? - mabey I’m an idiot and mis-read it, but I shouldn’t need a degree to read a menu, its just poorly thought out and needs re-doing.

The ‘steak guide’ at the back says ‘this steak is best cooked rare to well done’ - wow, jee, thanks for that absolutely useless guide there mate haha!

There’s about 30 other mistakes on there but there the two that really stuck out

PRICES - The chimichanga was very reasonable - as where the taco’s (if they came with meat) - the starters where overpriced and tiny (and awfully cooked) - but my biggest gripe was the Steak Menu -

£45+ for a steak? In west derby? - AND THEN YOU NEED TO PAY EXTRA FOR CHIPS? - you’re not in London mate , that price is absurd...I'd be suprised if you’d sold a single one since it opened - also, if I’m paying £45 a plate I want a £45 service to go with it.. not one waiter rushed off his feet with 20 tables and then to have to pay extra for bit of sauce - its just not a nice enough venu to be charging those kinds of prices and they need lowering, while im at it... £4ish for a becks blue is a ripoff too.

So....
In short, would I go again? - Yes I would - but just for the chimichonga at the moment.. but "ill be back" with a hopefully better review soon.

Would I recommend it? - Not yet - but hopefully with a few changes I would soon. - again, if your thinking of going just remember its new and im sure it will improve so give...

The most bizzare restaurant experience of my life. Firstly, outside on the sign it sais that the set menu is on until 6:30pm on a Friday. Went in with me mate and ordered from the set menu, from a waitress who didnt know how to smile (except when she's talking to other staff at the bar and looking over smirking, making it clear they are talking about you). She came back over and then said the set menu is off, we asked why? She didnt have an answer, only that 'He' said its off. Dont know who he was. Anyway another girl came over and stated again that its off and went back the bar and again returned to say 'he' said they will do it, again who's he. This is after we walked in, with 4 staff at the bar, not one came to greet us, someone just shouted sit in that one in the corner. The special menu had a burger with an optional upgrade for £2. The waitress didnt know what the upgrade was and needed another member of staff to explain. Anyway, we ordered and the starters were chicken wings that were cooked hours before and still warm in parts. All the while the looks over to our table and smirking continues. We had a pint each and our starter only for a young girl to be sent over to tell us we only accept cash. When we were confused and asked why we were not told before, she walked away then put a sign in the window saying this. We then decided, we dont trust this gaff to serve us food and we walked out after paying our bill. Oh and were told, "theres a cash machine over there". No opologies or nottin, just weird gaff. I wouldnt send me worst...

My family arrived at the restaurant at the time booked we sat down at 5-50pm, given a menu we were not asked if we would like anything to drink and it was 1hour later a waitress came to take our order then we waited 30 mins for our drinks, as I am a non alcohol drinker I ordered an alcohol free drink as this was the only option I was served an alcohol beer I returned this and ordered the non alcoholic beers as originally asked for we then waited 2 hours for our meal to arrive, people who came in after us were eating their meal within 30 minutes eventually we called the waitress and asked where our meals were she said the chef had lost the ticket,we reordered and asked for another round of drinks I was told they had no more alcohol free beer as they only had 1 bottle in stock I opted for tonic water, on visiting the wash room the hot water tap came away in my hands and water was pouring out all over the floor and myself, as I bent down to try and dry my clothes I noticed that the underneath of the was basin was filthy Considering we are still at risk of the Covid-19 virus this was unacceptable, I shall never return to this restaurant ever again . Disgustingly sticky...
