Four of us went for lunch to The Black Door one Friday recently. We managed to get a table - we were lucky as it was the last one available. The food was lovely and competitively priced. I had a beautiful burger (ever so slightly overcooked - I prefer it like that rather than undercooked) which was served with decent fries etc. The other diners in our party raved about their food - it looked delicious. The service at The Black Door was really excellent. Service with a smile - and nothing was too much trouble. The Black Door really is a little gem in West Derby Village and deserves to be very successful.
(Its opening hours baffle me - they could make a killing from local schools/nurseries by opening at times when mums (and dads too!) can meet prior to picking up their kids - and maybe call in for coffee/cake afterwards with their kids. I order frequently through the just eat app and never have any issues and the food is always divine, the owner Jay offered me and one other person a meal for 2 inside so we visited today as it was my birthday and we were greeted by AnneMarie who was absolutely lovely and attentive, I ordered the breakfast wrap and my mum the skinny breakfast both really enjoyable and you can tell the quality is high, I was then offered some of the strawberry and chocolate pancakes which again were absolutely lovely and enjoyable, I then ordered a takeout small breakfast for my dad and he enjoyed every bit of his breakfast, it was a lovely atmosphere inside and we will definitely continue supporting this establishment and thank you so much for offering the meals on the house it was very lovely of...

Just having a full English as I type. It is probably one of the nicest I have EVER had. The food is cooked to perfection: 2 x proper meaty sausages (not the cheap ones you are often served) 2 x beautiful lean bacon 2 x fried eggs 1 x flat mushroom 1 x black pudding 1 x grilled tomato 1 x portion of Heinz beans 2 x rounds of buttered thick toast
The food was lovely prepared and plated.
The venue has a really nice vibe and it is spotless and clean. You can see through to the kitchens and they are pristine.
The staff are really attentive and are pleasant. They have lovely smart uniforms
