Awful customer service here today. We went for lunch as 2 couples today. Whilst our friends got their meals ours never came out and we were there for over an hour. We ordered jacket potatoes and 5 minutes after we had ordered and paid for them we were told that they had 'run out of potatoes'. Bearing in mind that the lunch menu consisted of about 10 options!
So we asked the waitress for BLT sandwiches instead. We had to go into the bistro (we were sat outside) to ask the waitress to order the BLTs as she had walked away while we were still talking to her. She brought my friend's diet coke over to the table after they had already eaten and her side dish of beans arrived ten minutes after her jacket potato had! I asked the waitress after 15 minutes or so where our BLTs were and she said 'They 'll be with you shortly'. I then had to ask her a further 2 times where our BLTs were to get the same answer. Which was obviously a lie to fob us off as we waited about 45 minutes in all and we never got it! We had to go into the bistro and ask for a refund. When we were issued our refund we asked for the manager's name and number and the staff were reluctant to give us it. They eventually did give us the manager's name-Fiona and complained to us that 'staff hadn't turned up' today. I understand that they were short staffed but the staff member who served us should have been honest about the waiting time. Does it really take 45 minutes to put a sandwich together?!! Won't be returning again and will be telling family and friends about our...
Read moreThree stars only based on following review: I was in absolute awe to find the first breast feeding friendly cafe in Liverpool which is very rare trust me. I was getting excited to go in and have a coffee to find that my four legged friend was not allowed in either. Now considering this cafe is in a park where people go to walk their dogs I find this ironic. So not only is a tired new mum not getting her one a day well deserved coffee, the baby isn’t getting fed either, So now I have a crying baby to get home because. Can’t feed him in the cold;
I hope the owner/manager reviews this and changes their mind on this stupid rule.

There's a bit of a wait for your freshly made egg and sausage toastie to arrive. The wait is worth it as you can't rush perfection. The sausages are really tasty and the eggs are fresh and fried sunnyside up that pops as you cut. Brilliant.
Service is fantastic with staff who know their menus and can hold a friendly conversation as you order.
£17 for 2 sausage and egg toasties with 1 x decaf latte,...
