DEFNE TURKISH BBQ RESTAURANT AINTREE — Restaurant in Liverpool

One of the best turkish restaurants we've been through, and I must say that it's worth every penny. Great variety of food choices, seafoods, meat, salads, drinks, etc.

We live in Leeds and we just visit Liverpool every weekends and this is our to go to restaurant.

The food itself is sumptuous, its delicious and affordable. The portion is generous. The taste? It's worth it! Its delicous and very tasty. One of my favorites is the hummuos and their turkish bread, I always crave for hummuos and I must say; try it!😉 Calamares, is soft and freshly cooked not tender and chewy. Mixed grill is a very big portion and I love the rice and salad that comes with it.

Price is good for the taste and portion they give. I think its cheap coz you got what you paid for.

Ambience, everytime we go there is full of people. Lots of family and friends go there. It's quite loud due to loads of people coz its a good place to eat and bond.

Customer service, is beyond perfect. Everyone is accomodating, the staff are friendly and approachable. The serving of food is great and the food is freshly served, not too slow turn around time.

Parking is quite difficult so we just parked on the nearby houses. Luckily there's always a spot.

Booked this restaurant as it was our 12th wedding anniversary and our 1st holiday abroad before we got engaged was to Turkey (Bodrum). Restaurant is local and has great reviews so thought would give it a try. On arrival (we were early) we was greeted at the door by Celine who made us welcome & showed us to our table. Drinks were promptly ordered while we decided on what to have from the menu. We decided not to have a starter. I decided on the mixed kebab grill with rice & wife had the chicken beyti with chips. Both were served with a side salad & bread. One of the great things about this place is that you can see the chefs preparing your meal. The meals soon arrived and they were generous portions. I can gladly say we both found the food glorious. The meat was tender and not chewy. We gave it a good go to finish but was defeated, but they packed up the remaining food for us to take away. The pictures don't do justice as to how large the meals are.

Overall, this is great place for Turkish food, the price is reasonable too for what you get. I would rather eat here and keep local businesses going rather than the big nationals.

Just wow. We had a nightmare at another restaurant and rang here to see if there was any chance at all they could fit in a group of 24 guests. They said yes with no problem at all. 10 minutes later all 24 of us arrived. It was a Monday night and there was only 2 floor staff and one chef. This didn’t seem to phase them whatsoever. The staff were UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! so organised, professional, kind and polite! Hats off to the chef to who was amazing. The food was just delicious. And they really did make our whole evening especially after the disaster it started out as (in the first place we went to)
