McDonald's — Restaurant in Liverpool

Nipped by here on the way back home from a trip into Liverpool.

We ordered on the app for table delivery, Waited for 10-15 minutes whilst the store was absolutely dead with no sign of our order (Mcplant Meal for me on one order and some chicken nuggets on a second order for my friend).

Eventually i went over to the desk to ask and was told very bluntly "well i did shout out your order number" and given two very much cold bags of food.

Pretty clear the staff (and in this case from what i remember a manager) don't understand how their own systems work. I did remember them shouting out 51 and 52 but the key point is, if you order for table delivery YOU DO NOT GET AN ORDER NUMBER. We had no way to know those were our orders, not to mention our table (1) was literally right next to the main kiosk and it would have taken them 20 seconds to walk over to us, as we had requested on the app.

I want to make it clear I'm not someone who normally cares about waiting by the counter, we just decided on table delivery as it was quiet. If they'd said "table 1" instead of the order numbers which we didn't have access to we i would have happily picked it up, but waiting 15 minutes for cold food and being rudely told an arbitrary number was shouted 10 minutes ago which we had no way of knowing was our order is unacceptable. Why they didn't walk to bags over to us i don't know. There is no excuse other than the staff being lazy that day as the store was completely dead with only 1-2 people in at most whilst we were waiting.

This isn't the only example of a sub-par maccies experience we've had here either, our second visit got us cold food again with a very long wait.

All in all just not acceptable for a McDonalds and i hope HQ will give this location a thorough inspection. Very, very disappointed. Rude managers, staff who haven't been trained properly and presumably have never ordered a McDonalds in their lives considering they don't know their own systems. Just shockingly bad....

Visited today and I'm honestly appalled. I never thought I'd be posting a 1 star about McDonald (I mean it's McDonald's...) But today has really made this review necessary. We came today and used the table service - there was a sign on our table that said "treated like an A-list star", 30 minutes later our food hadn't arrived- not exactly huge order one happy meal with a book, one big Mac meal, one chicken nugget meal. My partner went down to ask when it would come up, as lots of the other tables around us (who ordered after us) had received there's,to be told it was going to be on its way, 5 minutes later and nothing, 10 minutes later still nothing, he went back down to be told our food had gone cold so there were going to remake it now, so at this point it's 45 minutes since we ordered.. 55 minutes later my partner went back down again and got our food. He was told by two staff members "we will sort something for you" when he complained that we waited an hour for maccies. (We wouldn't of waited usually but having a hungry two year old we decided to wait) so my partner went back down again to talk to the manager about a partial refund who told him no, you either get the food or the refund not both. No I'm sorry that you had to wait an hour. No this is what happened. We found out that a worker had come upstairs at the 30 minute mark with our food and had dropped it- noone came to explain this to us so we were just left waiting. For some reason instead of just remaking the food he dropped and bringing it up they ended up waiting until the food went cold before deciding to remake it. Will be calling head office tomorrow be sure I've never been treated so shockingly. Only plus was one male member of staff who was very well spoken was really apologetic to us. Oh and one last peeve it says pick a toy or a book for the happy meal and we always choose the book, once again this is ignored and we've got a toy. Why offer the choice if you...

My fault as after my first (last) time coming here we said we'd never come back to this McDonald's. As last time it was empty, drive thru still told us to pull over and it still took 10 odd minutes to get our food. Which ended up not prepared well and didnt even get straws or tissues.

Come back to this time Sunday evening, forgot we weren't going come here again and I remembered too late. Already paid for food and got told to pull up. Only ordered two wraps and it was empty. Took 10ish minutes once again to receive the food. I was annoyed. Got no tissues. And because the wraps were poorly made I ended up with salsa all over me and the car.

That picture shows what both wraps were like. No wonder I felt like I was just eating tortilla wrap until the bottom, pulled it out and it went everywhere. Dont understand how this place is still getting customers.

Stick to Queens Drive McDonald's. Never had a problem there.

20/08/2020 A year later and I have made the mistake of coming back here. Only really wanted a large coke... they would've even got that wrong. Ended up ordering a large coke, flat white and a cheese sharebox. The girl gives me the cheese box and asks did I order any drinks, obviously check the receipt in your hand. No salsa dips so had to ask for them, only got 2 (just to rub it in). Got our drinks. Didn't even give me a straw. Had to ask for a straw, then had to ask for serviettes, which she reluctantly handed to me. Defo just bail this McDonalds off. Can't even read orders and give you the correct items. Not...
