I visited Sable and Co on the 22nd of October for breakfast and ordered a meal along with two juices. Unfortunately, the breakfast took so long to arrive that I had to cancel it and just stick with the drinks. I had already paid for everything upfront via Apple Pay, so I requested a refund for the breakfast that never came. I went to the til and they said it has been refunded to my card.
After waiting a few days with no refund, I contacted Sable and Co directly. I spoke to James Simon, who provided his email and assured me heād help resolve the issue. I promptly sent him my e-receipt as proof of purchase, but after more than a week and a follow-up email, I still hadnāt received any response.
In the end, I had to go through my bank to dispute the charge and get my money back. I'm still waiting for the outcome of the dispute as it is quite a process. This whole experience was frustrating, and itās disappointing that such a straightforward issue became so complicated. Based on this lack of professionalism, I canāt recommend Sable and Co, especially if timely service and proper customer care are priorities for you. Management should lead by example and learn how to deal with simple customer issues like this better. A heads up for anyone considering dining here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust been here today Very poor service lots of staff just standing around talking to each other Sat down at 11.15 and was told lunch menu only App was easy to use but offered option of tip whilst paying and ordering Not sure why before you have had food or service. We ordered the Californian chicken burgers They were terrible value Ā£18 each when burger came it was served on a dry cold brioche bun could of done with being toasted or warmed The chicken and potatoes were lukewarm at best, they were both smothered in pepper this is all you could taste , probably to give the food some heat. As mentioned first only interaction with staff was when being sat down and food delivered. Plates were not cleared away when we were finished as we sat with drinks for a while. Not one member of staff asked if our food was ok ,they were just to the side of us chatting no customer care . Another point is very hard to find an email or phone number for customer services again probably they donāt want so many...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have food intolerances which I explained to the server who had been really helpful. The kitchen provided me a meal which had clearly been cross contaminated as there were baked beans in my scrambled eggs. I explained that it looked to be the same spoon being used in putting food on my plate and someone else's and I asked for this to be redone.
I then watched the kitchen staff argue the toss about it with the server and then pick the baked beans out before sending it back to my table.
The food was now cold and the issue of cross contamination not taken seriously at all. So I had to then send it back to the kitchen where again the kitchen staff were very loud complaining about the issue but remade the scrambled eggs on gluten free toast although the toast was recycled from the original meal served.
The server was very apologetic and I hate making a fuss but living with food intolerance and allergies is hard enough without feeling like I'm a inconvenience and not important enough for care...
