The Bulldog Bar — Restaurant in Liverpool

Haven't been in this pub for years but called in for a pint while I was visiting friends in the area. Must say that it hasn't really changed much apart from the staff. I remember a lovely lady called Mary who used to work there who has now retired. The current staff are equally as nice though and I was served straight away with my pint. (Although to be honest there were only 2 other people in the pub!) I was going to have my lunch in there as I remember it to be quite good for the food, but they don't serve any type of food any longer. Frankness is great.. food is fabulous! Lovely family run business..The only neg I have is I travel 40 mins to here its that good it is! so give them a call make sure it's open first!! I've been a few times and it's been closed & check it's not run out of food!! Cause it's so delicious there might be none left as we have experienced...Apart from that it's well worth a visit. Shame shuts at...

Bar manager, Barney (the bulldog) was a bit offhand and started putting the chairs on the tables about 10.15 pm and shouting "Ain't you got no 'omes to go to". Bit rude I thought.
