Nice place, good vibe. They play party style music so it's not as much of a "sports bar". Good place for a date. Pool tables are great and I like the selection of beer. Did not try other alcohol or food. Knocked off 2 stars because I booked 1.5 hours of pool, arrived 15 mins late (my mistake) and was told they gave the table to someone else for 30 mins and I can get my booking after. Cool, they want to make money on available tables when there's demand. Totally get that. After playing for 1 hour, I'm then told my time is up despite booking for 1.5 hours, because I was 20 mins late (as if it matters since it looks like they gave away the table at first chance). This would be a lot less of a gripe for me if I had not paid £10 for those 30 mins already, which is a steep price for pool in London. I was not offered a refund or moved to another table, despite there being 2 tables free downstairs. As far as I'm concerned, I pay in advance to book out the spot for use as I see fit within reason of course. If I use less of that time, that's completely on me due to being late, the venue have already received their money through my down payment. And since I was present at the venue for 15 mins of my initial booking, I have lost the money I paid for that time, with no offer of reimbursement, while the venue got their money twice for the time slot. That's not fair business, especially at this steep price. If you're only looking to play pool, check out Spots & Stripes who regularly have a discount on Groupon which lets you play 2 hours of pool and get 2 pints of...

Had one of the worst experiences at this venue. I too was an attendee at my friend's event; he booked out the bar at the bottom of the venue as mentioned within the review made by 'Hair_Peacehacks' this weekend. This manager in question was nothing short of over dramatic. Firstly, ofcourse emotions will fly high if one feels that they are being treated unfairly but at no point did ANY of the attendees approach the bartenders with threatening behaviour whatsoever. Once again, over dramatic. Secondly, with regards to a person "being arrested" it goes to show that they just took what they saw from far back in the building and ran with it. THAT is infact a bold statement which is FALSE as all police officers left the premises with absolutely NO ONE in hand cuffs. Matter of fact, the person who "got arrested" never even got cuffed to begin with and was seen speaking to other attendees WHILE the officers left the venue!!!! Everything was blown out of proportion to say the very least and from my observation the woman who managed on Friday night did not handle this situation well atall. ALL OF THIS WAS EASILY AVOIDABLE.

Such a shame because it seemed like a great night out but due to miscommunication and terrible customer service (only by that specific manager; the other ladies were lovely) in light of said circumstances, it turned out to be a horrible experience as the bad greatly outweighed the good.

I will not be...

Came here with the girls last week. The pool tables are in good condition and the place has a nice decor. But unfortunately our experience was spoiled by the rude staff.

Firstly, we booked a table for an hour (£15 - not bad), but we all arrived a few minutes late. We asked if we could move our booking to the next hour but we couldn't. So we could only play for the remainder of the hour we booked, despite the place being nearly empty. Then we were told quite abruptly to finish our game as another group had booked our table. Again, there were PLENTY of free tables. But we weren't allowed a couple of minutes' grace to finish our game even though we only had two balls left on the table. The other group were apologetic about it - but the staff just treated us like we didn't matter.

Also, food was terrible - don't touch the calamari as it's clearly off.

Finally, they tried to charge us for a more expensive bottle of wine than we had. Luckily we spotted it and asked them to correct it.

I get the impression this place is set up for large office parties. So if you're a couple on a date, or a few friends trying to have a relaxed game of pool, there are...

I come here for annual birthday party. Staff are welcoming, warm and polite. Tables are well looked after. Decor is punk-chic and music is disco happy. Doesn't take itself too seriously but is cool enough for an adult party. Negatives are the prices. £20 an hour is more than enough for table hire. Drinks are typical london prices. Food is tasty but unreasonably dear. Compared with four years ago the sharing platter is both significantly smaller and £4 dearer.

Good cocktails, vibrant underground retro atmosphere. Bit pricey on the pool tables for an hour, time flies quickly. Though, amazing bartenders and team members manning the night: funny, social, and top notch customer service from Audrey and Deborah. Thank you for making our night a lively one. :)
