- A Honest review of my experience on the Level 2 Facials course- I enrolled at LSBM with the intention of advancing my skincare knowledge, but my experience was disappointing on multiple fronts. I feel compelled to share this in the hope that it helps others make an informed decision. To begin with, the facilities are far below what one would expect from a professional training academy. The school is set up in what feels like a disused office space, and basic amenities like heating were absent during my time there. Instead, small portable fans were scattered around, providing little relief. The blankets used during treatments were unhygienic—you could feel how unclean they were just by touching them. The steamers were outdated and often produced yellowish water, which was concerning and a far cry from the standards I’m used to in my own salon. Unfortunately, the teaching quality matched the poor physical environment. I was in Carol’s class, and the atmosphere became increasingly discouraging week after week. One of the weeks she ended our class an hour early as she was going on a cruise that evening. When you’re paying £1000 out of pocket, every hour to learn and perfect your craft matters. Many students, including myself, felt uncomfortable asking questions, as they were often dismissed or met with sarcasm. Personally, I experienced repeated mispronunciations of my name. When I gently corrected my tutor, I was met with, “Ah-liyah, Aaliyuuh, whatever.” It felt dismissive and unprofessional. The course was heavily focused on anatomy and health and safety rather than skincare ingredients and applicable theory which I had expected to explore in more depth. I found the massage element of the course to be the most practical and helpful although I did invest in another massage course while I was on this level 2 facials course as I really wanted to excel in this area. The quality of the products used in class was also a concern—several students experienced irritation around the eyes. The hydrating face masks (the only type they had that were suitable to put on anyone’s skin) were finished by the time we got round to our assessments. There was no stock management; we were simply told to throw away any empty bottles. Several classmates expressed regret at enrolling at Level 3 here prematurely and some even managed to transfer to their sister school, Ray Cochrane, which they said offered modern facilities and a better learner experience. I did raise my concerns with the academy during my final week, only to be told that I should have reached out sooner. That response felt dismissive and avoided any accountability for the issues raised. In good faith, I cannot recommend LSBM. If you’re looking for a supportive, high-standard learning environment, I’d strongly suggest researching other options.

PLEASE AVOID! I left my necklace there when I came in as a model for a facial. I sent emails and called, but they took a long time to respond and said they hadn’t found it yet (which, okay, I understand). After a while, I finally received an email saying they had found it and that I could come to pick it up. I didn’t see this email for a week, but as soon as I saw it, I called to ask if I could come directly to collect it, and they said that was fine. However, when I arrived, Sana (who was very rude and sarcastic) said, “Oh, you didn’t reply to our email for weeksss, so the teacher got rid of it.” Seriously? There was no option to even speak with the teacher or ask about it. This was jewelry, not just a piece of paper to “get rid of.” I also work with clients and keep their belongings for over six months if needed—and never just throw things away. It makes no sense. They’re so lovely when they want your money, but please don’t be fooled, because when you need them, this is the kind of experience you get. P.S.: I only came as a model because I was genuinely interested in their Facial Levels course, but now I’m completely disappointed—especially since the person I was dealing with was actually the manager! Now they’re ignoring both my calls and the intercom. :)

I saw the ad of this school on Facebook and thought to give it a try. London school of beauty is a place where students learn and apply their learning in a salon which is downstairs in their school which offers some amazing discounted treatment. Their customer care and skills are amazing. All phone calls will be answered promptly and they will call you back if you could not reach them without even leaving a voice mail which is really amazing! I have been to this place like 4 times so far and has tried their different facials, pedicure, waxing in which I love the deep cleansing facial so far which cost me only ÂŁ20. The only downside are their bathrooms which are heavily used, small and can be cleaned and improved From the receptionist Ruby, who is always welcoming, chatty and sweet, their tutors and Lauren, who do sometimes email for model appointments, are all welcoming and warm. Will I go again? Absolutely!

Firstly, I just want to say what an incredible learning experience this had been! I completed my L2 & L3 skincare & facial course and L4 laser course and I LOVED IT! I can’t believe how much I learnt, the confidence I gained and the skills I now hold.

The communication from the beginning was great, the school and the structure of the course is very well organised. I felt the school was really welcoming with a ‘family’ feel to it. A school that welcomes all people from all backgrounds and ages, with staff being adaptable to suit our needs to ensure we all learn and achieve.

I can’t fault the staff and I believe it’s the team here that make this school successful and the learning experience so amazing.

Krisztina was my teacher and she has literally made me LOVE learning again! She’s truly inspirational. A kind, approachable, very knowledgable teacher who made time for us all and held such high standards throughout. I learnt so much from her and her standards which I now uphold in my own business. I think she’s an amazing teacher and I thank her for everything she has taught me.

Lauren, the manager, is cheerful and supportive. During my first two weeks I spoke with her about feeling anxious with examinations and she soon put my mind at ease and gave me the reassurance I needed. She is very efficient and ensures the school runs smoothly and that the students are always happy.

Belgin was the manager in the spa who I have had the pleasure to work with during my last two weeks of the course. Again, her high standards, organisation and expertise has taught me so much and I now have the confidence and skills to work on clients. The spa experience has been great, allowing students to complete treatments on paying clients. This has made a huge difference to my confidence. On day one I felt so nervous and now I feel like I’ve been in the industry years!

I can’t thank this school enough for the experience I’ve had and for everything I have learnt. It’s was amazing!

Since leaving the school and gaining the qualifications, I have since opened my own laser skin clinic specialising in hair removal, tattoo removal and advanced skin treatments.

If it hadn’t of been for this school I wouldn’t of been able to pursue my passion and open my own business which has been successful from the beginning.

Due to my experience at this school it really motivated me to pursue this career. Had the teaching or experience been poor, I may of had a complete change of mind with my career so I am thankful to LSBM for everything they have given me and for where I am now :)

I would highly recommend this school, there’s no need to look anywhere else! They are the best!!

I am from the West Midlands and could of completed my qualifications in a school closer to home but I wanted to attend the best school there was and I am so glad I did. The travelling was so worth it and I made the best decision ever attending here :)

Thank...

SHOUT OUT TO JUANITA AND TRISH! Where do I begin? Well I've just finished my year long course doing my Cidesco recently with Juanita (who unfortunately is no longer there) and Trisha (thank god she is still there). I've had the absolute best experience of school there in one year than I've had in all my years through education. I was an international student from America who had one difficult year away from home but these women were not only teachers they created the sense of family that I needed through my hard times. Coming to school was an absolute pleasure everyday ( which is something I never thought I'd say ha.) The curriculum was broken down in a very organized and precise way it made it very easy to learn. The days were filled with lots of work and laughter. If you chose to do Cidesco prepare yourself it is alot of hard work but it is so worth it. Put your all in from day one and the rest of the ride will be smooth. Especially when you have Trish. I promise you she will get you through anything and everything. It goes to show when someone Is passionate about what they do, you can see it through their teaching and how they are with their students. Trish is an absolute gem and the glue that held us together so if you get her you won't be disappointed. I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Trisha, I've never felt so prepared to take on life after graduation. It ALSO goes to show people can really make an impact and some are truly irreplaceable. Shout out to Courtney and Lauren who are the sweetest office girls. You are always greeted with a warm smile and welcome upon arrival to school. They are very helpful in getting information from or anything else you might need. Thank you everyone who made my year one to never forget x

P.s I never write reviews so for me to do this shows they are worth...
