Went here very recently for dinner, and was extremely disappointed. We used to frequent this place couple of years ago, when we lived in Ealing, and always enjoyed the food here. This time I don’t know what went wrong but everything we ordered was not upto the mark. We got some fattet humus and rotis as pictured. The bread was stale and was probably store bought, unevenly warmed. We had also ordered lamb Mandi and mix grilled platter. The kebabs in the mix grill platter were tough, chicken was chewey and leathery, lamb was smelling. After a couple of bites, I just didn’t want to bother. The only thing fresh on that plate was probably the chips. The rice in the lamb Mandi dish left me feeling sick. I tried telling to the staff, but he kept arguing with me saying ‘eat it, it’s not bad’ and then went away and ignored me. Waste of my money, time, and am praying that we don’t get food poisoning. I know Mondays are slow for restaurants, but don’t sell stale and smelly food. Won’t be coming back.

Visited the restaurant today, the waiter that seated us was friendly & helpful, however the one who took our order was complete opposite. I ordered Humous as starter and must say it was very nice & authentic, main course was "Lamb Tajin" that I have been eating for a while & have made it @ home few time. The dish didn't taste anywhere near like a Tajin. It was served cold with microwaved heated rice. Tajin is supposed to come with tender lamb, prunes/dates, apricots, nuts (almonds mostly) and raisins, however I was given cold piece of lamb, with stew of potatoes & carrots with four prunes. You can see in the picture (attached) with potatoes, carrots & even lentils in the stew. Pretty disappointed with it. No idea about other dishes but my experience here was pretty bad. Not going again.

I recently dined at this place and left incredibly disappointed. To say the food was bland would be an understatement. I ordered the lamb sheesh, chicken soup , chicken Mandi , which arrived looking promising, but that’s where the positives ended. It had absolutely no flavour—no seasoning, no spices, not even a hint of salt. It felt like I was chewing on cardboard. The sides weren’t any better. Hulumi and cheese rolls were tasteless and oily, Even the salad dressing, which should have been a simple rescue, was somehow flavourless. I had to ask for extra garlic sauce just to make it remotely edible. For the price I paid, I expected at least some hint of flavour. Instead, it felt like they forgot the basics of cooking altogether. Wouldn’t recommend, unless you enjoy eating pure air.

Abu Zaad management is stingy and greedy and have very poor ethics with providing customer service. Right from the beginning staff made it crystal clear that we have to pay by cash and not pay for individual bill, but pay for as many bills together as we can which sounds really dodgy.

I got a main Meal, 2 x wrap, chips and a starter- my bill was £34.95, a decent amount for lunch for a mother and her kids! All my other friends and sister got similar for themselves and their children. My sisters bill was £12.50, she got a Wrap and some chips. The staff (who has curly hair and about medium size), very rudely said to my sister that she needs to order more food. Apparently they have a Policy that came from management, that for every five people, two people need to order a main . Wraps are not considered main! They were so frustrated that we ordered wraps. They could not stand that we did not spend enough and that’s when the discrimination all started.

We did not want to get our children sugary drink. We asked for glasses and tap water for our children. They were refusing to give us glasses one jug of water came about 15 Min later and then the second jug came a further 15 min later. We politely asked for water, they were annoyed because they did not want to give any tap water. It’s free, and they couldn’t make profit so were withholding water from our thirsty children.

Throughout, the lady with curly hair had very bad attitude but I overlooked. Then I asked, if I can have a container, to take home food that was not eaten (I try to avoid wasting food). When I asked , the older man frowned, waved his hands and said something in Arabic. I did not know what he said but by his body language suggested that the managements stingy attitude did not want give me container- it really offended them! After all this, I spoke out and said to them that their customer service is unacceptable. It is not okay to force customers to buy more than they want, discriminating against mothers and children, refusing to give water, napkins, sauce and extremely rude attitude. They did not even apologise! It was unclear to understand who the manger is, but the guy with green eyes and hair tied back seemed to have more authority, and never did he apologise to us for their horrible service. The curly hair lady called me ‘a charity’ because apparently I didn’t buy enough! I don’t understand , I paid £34 for lunch and they expect me to buy more. The mean green eyed guy heard and said nothing. He pulled out my receipt and made fun of how much I paid! Disgusting attitude, anywhere else this women would get disciplinary action for calling her customer charity and Management needs training. So much more including implying that one of my sisters is ‘crazy’ when she asked for her change, curly hair lady again refusing! Also to mention that their whole business sounds dodgy. Forcing us to pay by cash and limiting the number of transactions. They said that their card machine is not working and told me to get cash out. I walked down the high street and both atm Machines were not working . I came back and said , I couldn’t get cash out, so the green eye guy told me to make a direct bank transfer. I started making direct back transfer via my phone app but my phone was taking time. Magically the card machine came out (why, did they lose patience and just wanted payment after calling us charity??) and suddenly the card machine starts working!

And the curly hair lady said that ‘this is not a park’. Implying not a space for mothers with children. Our children sat so well behaved, only last ten min when we were forced to go to the cash machine they were out of their seats. I tried to have a word with the owner respectfully when I called the next day, he threatened me with camera! They absolutely do not want to know what the customer experienced and do not want to apologise or Listen, just pure arrogance. I am so disgusted with their attitude, as customers we had to fight for basic rights. Greedy, arrogant, stingy, mother and child discriminating...

warning the restaurant are posting positive reviews themselves to balance out all the negative reviews. There are so many 1 star reviews, dont be fooled by the positive reviews which are mostly written by the restaurant management themselves!!!! Disgusting food and unfriendly service. Visited for iftar earlier on today and cannot put into words how awful the entire experience was. I am not fussy with food but the food was inedible, a very strange taste, the queue was ridiculously long for the buffet, the staff were astonishingly rude, particular the manager. They treat you as though you're a burden and inconvenience to them.

The taste of the food was so bad thay we all left our plates full, it was that bad. I wish I had read the reviews before going here. I really advise everyone not to waste their hard earned money on such low quality food and poor service!

The place is also so small and they cram in hundreds of people to profit of them during ramadan, leaving no space to manouvre and the staff walk around rudely telling customers waiting in the queue for their iftar buffet food to move out the way, they charged a young child 25 pounds full buffet price out of a group of 6 adults, the child didn't even eat. I cannot put into words how awful this place was. They give Syrians a bad name, especially for the visitors who have never tasted syrian food before, both the service and food was disgusting.

You also pay for a buffet but the staff control how much food you can eat, they give you a tiny piece of meat and chicken, which didn't matter in the end because it was all so revolting. I really hope the owner reads the numerous negative reviews and sorts out his staff in particularly the so called manager, who is...

I went to this reastaurant with my family yesterday 10/08/2019. The setting looks fine and the place is clean. The food was abslotly horrible i have never had a bad food like i had yesterday. I ordered Adu Zaads gril special i swear i could not taste anything and the rice OMG it was absloutly horrible. My daughter orderd Fatoosh when it arrived i was shocked, there were some cucubmer, lettice and about 3 or 4 olives with about 5 tiny fried pices of bread, that was it, we had to ask for some olive oil to go on it which never arrived. My son ordered some thing like chicked with salami inside with chips, the poor boy ended up having the chips only, the chickes was like rubber. This is a typical place were you make a big mistake and go once but will never go back there. There were 7 of us all absloutly dissappointed. My advise to anyone want to go this place do yourself a faivour and stay away from this reastaurant you will not regreat it trust me. i am a food lover and i know what i am talking about. Finnaly the service was bad, they bring your food pass it to you and you will never see anyone again if you need any thing like a glass or anything else you have to get up and chasse them. Dont be fooled by all those photos you see on thier website or menue, the reality is musch more diffrent from the photoes. Oh just before i go one last thing, we had to waite about 20/30 minutes for the food to arrive and the worest part was by the time my order arrived my son his girlfriend had finnished thier meal. The order does not come together so at some point based on what you will order you might find yourself the only one eating and the rest had finnised 10...
