Updating based on my today's(July.22.2023) visit. Today I had a bitter experience in this temple. The pandit's or poosares are completely money minded here treating people based on their dresses. I went on casual dress here with my family, a poosari there was treating and giving kungumam to a person, where my family along with 2 kids standing there, he simply ignored us and started behave like cleaning something, my elder kid 9 year old just tried to touch and take the kungumam by stepping on the wooden step - suddenly that guy started shout down down.. pandit's/poosares are learning Veda/mantras to treat everyone equal and specially see kids equal to god. Please don't judge people by their dresses and treat people like god when they give you more tips. Being a Pandit/poosari the behaviour of that guy shows such a worst character of him.
But the temple management team was awesome and kind to everyone there with a smiling face to everyone even though it was overcrowded today.
Though, as a proverb says - a single drop of poison will spoil the complete milk. If the temple management not focus on these issues in the initial stage it ll be a big problem in future.
Request to temple management, please educate your pandit's to treat everyone equal and teach them how to behave and talk to kids.
Below is my older comment few months back, I'll keep it as is.
The temple will give you a feel that you are visiting some temples in Tamilnadu.
Recently, they extended the temple. It has, Kanaga Thurkkai Amman, Ganesh/Vinayagar, Hanuman, Thurkkai Amman, Siva/Shivan, Murugan, Thakasanna murthi, (7 planets) Sanni, Suryan, etc., Ayyappan, Vishnu, Aalwar(s),etc.,
I used to visit this temple on the weekends. They also provide dal and sambar rice with Appalam (Appalam - might not be available if you go late afternoon)
Also I saw some weddings are also happening here.
If you want to do Archannai, then you have to get 1 pound ticket for it, please have change for the same.
If you have an Archannai ticket, and donate some pounds on pandit/poosari's arathanna plate only then youll get extra Kungumam, flowers to take it to your home Pooja room. So have change accordingly.
Families (with kids) will love this temple, they can see their favourite God. Also bachelor's can enjoy excellent tasty free lunch here (Only weekends I know, not sure...
