Dine in | Dinner | £70–80 This restaurant recently changed ownership. Since ownership change I called up before attending and they advised that they still have a vegan menu. When we turned up to eat we asked the waiter for a vegan menu and they advised the vegan menu are the ones with a symbol V. The waitress was helping and spotted a lamb dish and said that’s vegan. I asked how is lamb vegan and this is not plant based meat. She said it’s vegan because it has a V next to it. Thus restaurant lied to me on the telephone. Also there are still reviews on here from the last restaurant name which should not be accepted if I had a chance I would give it a zero rating like its name. These are facts although we did not dine in because the waiter’s don’t understand what the concept of dietary requirements with meat dishes marked down as V and when challenged do not understand veganism. They said they said it has a V but is real lamb meat. Not a good experience and the previous ownership was better. Please take your old reviews out as you don’t have anything to do with Holy Spice.
In addition you should not be stalking your reviewers what ratings they leave you I only say this as any negative reviews you seem to attack them but it’s honesty and you should concentrate on improvements rather than attack people it’s not good as Holy Spice we’re good we were decided and Trup advisor would remove anything to do with previous ownership and yet you seem to thrive of past ownership many people are disappointed with Zero Restaurant given out awful experience and lied to us on the telephone . Reviews people leave else where no matter what rating are independent from your restaurant and you should me more professional than attack people reviews nothing to do with...
Read moreA Culinary Gem in London for Indian Cuisine
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Indian restaurant in London, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the evening.
Let's start with the food. The curries and starters were nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and expertly spiced to perfection. The diverse menu offered a wide range of options, from creamy and indulgent to spicy and adventurous. I couldn't help but savor every bite.
The standout for me was undoubtedly the curries. Whether you prefer a rich and velvety butter chicken or a fiery vindaloo, this place has it all. The chef's mastery of spices was evident in every dish, and it's safe to say that these were the best Indian curries I've tasted in London.
But it's not just the food that makes this restaurant exceptional; it's also the ambiance. The peaceful atmosphere was a welcome contrast to the bustling city outside. Soft lighting, comfortable seating, and attentive staff contributed to a relaxed dining experience. Whether you're on a romantic date or catching up with friends, this restaurant provides the perfect setting.
In conclusion, this Indian restaurant in London is a true gem for anyone seeking an authentic and delightful Indian dining experience. From the mouthwatering curries and starters to the serene atmosphere, it's a place that deserves to be on the top of your must-visit list. I can't wait to return and savor those exquisite...
Read moreVisited Holy Spice last week for the first time and visited with a number of colleagues, some of whom were visiting from Japan and were looking for an authentic Indian experience. Unfortunately Holy Spice was not the one. So the starters...we had samosa chaat, which was okay, but quite cold, the samosa was should be mashed into the chaat, but was pretty plain and uninspiring. We also ordered the chilli paneer as a starter, which was the best of the bunch, with good paneer (cottage cheese) although was quite a small dish. We also ordered chicken tikka kebab and lamb sheekh kebabs for starters, the lamb was pretty good the chicken was pretty tasteless. For mains we ordered about 8 curries between us, including the chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, paneer tikka, a chicken jalfrezi, lamb roganjosh, garlic chilli chicken and lamb kadahi. To be honest they were okay, pretty bland and average if that. The only two that had a bit of taste were the garlic chilli chicken and the lamb kadahi. We even asked the chef to add more chilli and spice to these two dishes when we reordered and still they were pretty bland. A highlight of the meal was the naan breads and the methi roti. The service was good as the staff were attentive and always on hand. The decor and interior is nice and comfortable, but cold and generic. it could do with a bit more indian flavour. I hope the feedback is taken onboard as there...
