I organised a Christmas dinner at Annabella's for a group of friends a couple of weeks ago. I was attended to by Gabby who was so attentive and did her best to help accommodate some very specific dietary requirements for a couple of the guests. The food was very tasty and each course arrived promptly! Thank you so much Gabby.
I would like this opportunity, however, to feedback to the managers of Arens: 1) A direct phone line for the restaurant may be better to liase with the restaurant directly. 2) I was told by Gabby to email directly to an email address (to ensure a quicker response) that was different to the one listed on the email confirming my reservation - the latter of which I never received any responses to - a bit misleading and a waste of time for anyone emailing that address 3) Please ensure all staff are communicating the same messages to people calling. When I booked the table, I spoke to a lady twice (I believe with a South African accent) and asked both times if we needed to pre-order, and I was told both times this wasn't necessary. One of my friends spoke to a gentleman who said it was necessary and that I'd been emailed asking to do this and a separate email was sent asking for my credit card details- none of these ever were received in my inbox or junk mail. In addition, as the person organising the dinner, this made me look...
Read moreTonight's meal at Anabella's Ruislip was an absolute delight from start to finish, and I couldn't be more impressed with both the amazing food and the exceptional service and hospitality.
Every dish that graced our table was a testament to the kitchen's skill and passion. The flavors were vibrant and well-balanced, and the presentation was simply stunning. It was clear that high-quality fresh ingredients were used, and each element of the meal was thoughtfully prepared. From the first bite to the last, it was a truly memorable culinary experience that left us wanting more.
The front-of-house team deserves immense credit for making our evening so enjoyable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and professionalism. Our servers were incredibly attentive without being intrusive, anticipating our needs and offering excellent recommendations. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The entire staff exuded a welcoming and friendly demeanor, creating a wonderfully relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

Read moreI was surprised to be handed the menus as we walked in and told to seat ourselves. Is it self-service or table-service? Confusing. We were told that we could order from the bar or the app, which never impresses my Dad who I was taking out. Decided to use the app, which was painful as it had so many questions. The menu had decent options, but it was expensive for some reasonable items eg eggs benedict (very small and thin muffin) and the like were around the £12-14 mark, omelette £13, smashed avocado and eggs just under £13. However, a full English was £14+ and the vegan version just under £18. The Fiesta Bagel- a bagel with smoked salmon and avocado was just under £18. Wow! There are far better places to go and spend less eg Browns next door, with proper table-service. Via the app at payment stage a tip was suggested which annoys me- should I be forecasting the level of service I will receive??? The service was fine, friendly enough. An average coffee was £4-5, an iced one or frappucino was in the region of an eye-watering £8.50!!!!! A glass of orange or apple juice was £5.95. Water £3.50. Milkshakes just under £12. We certainly won't return, although the location is good and the decor quite nice, but again, Browns is a much nicer option and cheaper option and set up as a...
