This restaurant is very disappointing! We got here at 6:30pm on Saturday 14th for a lovely celebratory meal, everything was great and service was good having ordered drinks and starters. That’s when it all changed.
It took them 3 hours to clean our table after our starters and in that time, no one came to ask if we were okay, needed anything else or wanted to order mains. When I say clean the tables, one waitress came and took the plate our starters were on but didn’t come back for the rest of our plates.
We finally managed to get someone’s attention after 3 and a half hours, and was told they were understaffed. The said the best they can do is a round of drinks which is silly as we are there for food. The waiter, Ashish, then said a round of drinks, a main on the house and 15% off the bill to which we agreed as he promised the mains would come it quickly.
Spoiler alert - the mains did not come out quickly. We didn’t actually get our food until 10:20pm, and it came out lukewarm. It took them an additional 10 mins to bring out our naan, which made the curry’s cold. We must have sent our food back about 6 times as it was never right.
We asked to speak to the manager where we were told that they were in Wembley so the assistant manager came out. He was useless, didn’t even apologise or speak to us and didn’t know what to say. He looked at us, looked around then just walked off.
The free round of drinks never came, they were sitting at the bar for 15 mins before we went to help ourselves and no one even noticed. Other people started helping themselves at the bar too, as the service was appalling. The waiter’s were too busy serving walk ins opposed to reservations. Everyone who had reserved a table in advance ended up complaining. There were at least 5 bales complaining, some of which being bigger parties
The bar manager came to ask if everything was okay whilst we were waiting for our naan, so when we told her it wasn’t she said would help reheat our food. However, she gave us major attitude and a dirty look, so don’t ask us if you can’t be bothered. Several staff just walked away and didn’t even speak to us
Ashish was absolutely useless. We asked for our bill and he was saying he was doing his best but went back on his word, he is a liar and he did it to other customers too. He took off the drinks and main and he refused 15% saying “I’ve done what I can”. Why promise us something when you can’t commit? When we questioned it he replied, “well you could have got up and left before your mains if you’re not happy” WHAT? How unprofessional. Cold food, disgusting attitude, had to get our own drinks and everyone complaining?
Ruined not only my celebration, but everyone who was celebrating and had...
Read moreThis restaurant is highly disappointing! Table booked for 6.30pm on 14 Sep for a celebration meal. Welcomed nicely, had drinks & starters all good. Waitress came & took only the dishes our starters came in, she never cane back to clear the table.
9.30pm asked to speak to manager, who wasn't a manager but just a senior person as he was the oldest. He was useless, he stood there like a lemon and looked around, didn't know what to say, how to speak professionally to customers!
Spoke to Ashish advised us they were understaffed! Main manager was at an event in Wembley apparently!! I asked if after 3 hours is is acceptable to still be sitting there after having starters despite we called numerous waitress to order our mains! They all replied give me 5 mins or I will be back!!!
He offered us drinks on the house & and 15% off the bill and 1 free curry to which we agreed as he promised the mains would come it quickly. The mains came late! Food arrived 10:20pm, and was warm. On top naan came out 10 mins later, so curries were cold! Our naans were sent back n forth 6 times as they were putting butter on the wrong naans and other naans came with no butter! When we complained again to a different waiter as we raised our voice he actually walked off whilst we were still talking to him. Girl behind the bar has attitude problem and gave us a dirty look abd pulled her face as she was another person that couldn't get our naan order correct!!
The free drinks never came, they were sitting at the bar for 15 mins before, so i went and got that myself, the ice in glasses had half melted!! Other people started helping themselves at the bar too, as the service was disgusting!!!
Ashish and all the staff are useless!!!!!
We asked for our bill Ashish went back on his word & didnt take 15% off the bill!!! We argued with him abd he stated he said 10%!! What a bloody liar!!! He took the cheaoest main off the bill. When we saud service was terrible & not acceptable he said "well you could of got up & left!" Is this how you treat and speak to your customers? How unprofessional and rude!! Ruined our celebration evening!!! We had left overs from our mains, we asked for it to be packed. Next day I open the containers to find that the saag panner had no panner!!!!! We had at least 6-7 pieces panner left, so robbed again!!! You can see from the bill what time we placed our order for drinks & starters, we left the restaurant at 12.05am!!!! Worst place I have been to in my life with stupid staff who cannot deal with customers and have attitude problems!!! You can also see how tables were left and...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Kho Kho, an Indian restaurant that turned my taste buds into a dance party! The food was so delicious that I almost considered moving in permanently. Each dish was loaded with authentic spices that could make even a plain potato feel like a Bollywood star!
The staff at Kho Kho were as friendly as your favorite uncle at a family gathering. They were attentive and genuinely excited to share their recommendations without hovering like a pesky fly. I felt like I was surrounded by friends who wanted to make sure I had the best experience possible—like they were rooting for me to discover my new favorite dish.
The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with colorful decor that felt like a warm hug. It was the kind of place where you could kick back, enjoy a naan or two (or three), and savor every moment without a care in the world.
Now, here's the only “negative” I can think of—if you can even call it that! When we asked the head waiter how they came up with the name Kho Kho, he told us it means “knock knock.” This left us all a bit baffled! I mean, I was expecting a deep, philosophical explanation about the essence of Indian cuisine, not a punchline! But hey, it certainly adds a quirky twist to the dining experience!
If you’re in the mood for mouthwatering curry, naan that deserves its own fan club, and a friendly vibe that makes you feel right at home, Kho Kho is an absolute must-visit! Just be prepared to leave with a happy heart, a very full stomach, and perhaps a few questions...
