They had very yummy besan barfi which melts in your mouth but the recent experience makes me doubt restaurant's cleaniness. So the issue is barfi has started to taste and smell like sabji masala and it happened on 3 different ocassions with month's gap. At first I thought it was my utensils and started to doubt my washing but when family members reported the same on all 3 ocassions, I lost my confidence . It looks like that utensils used to store and cook barfi are not being washed properly leaving behind the scent and essence and giving yucky taste. As i don't live close by and don't do regular trips to southall, I had to throw away the batches without reporting it to the team. Recently learned that you can taste before buying, so I recommend everyone to please ask for a sample before buying and report any issues. Please also add here to make others aware of any...
Read moreApna Pind (Our Village) - Best Punjabi Breakfast. My brother made a sudden breakfast plan and he suggested to try this authentic punjabi restaurant. He said they got few branches in London.
Started with Samosa, it was fresh warm and so tasty. I ordered Channa Bhatura and surprised to see the authentic bhatura looked totally different from what I tried before in Saravana bhavan. Tasted so nice with channa, onion and lime on top. My brother ate Poori with channa, I tried the poori it is so soft melted in mouth. Poori with halwa is also so nice.
We also had mixed paratha, stuffed cheese and herbs. Everyone should try parathas it’s unique and yummy. Sweet lassi is one of the best. Located next to Europe’s largest Gurdwara, Parking is free for 3 hours. Overall a best place to have your healthy breakfast in King street to...
Read moreI recently dined at Apna Pind in Southall and overall, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance of the restaurant truly captures the essence of traditional Indian culture, making it a warm and inviting place to enjoy a meal. The menu offered a wide variety of authentic dishes, and I was particularly impressed with the flavorful curries and freshly made Roti bread, which were simply delicious.
However, there was a slight wait for our food, which took a bit longer than expected. While the staff was friendly and attentive, the service could have been a touch more efficient during busy hours. Despite this hiccup, I would definitely recommend Apna Pind for anyone looking to experience authentic Indian cuisine. I will certainly be returning to explore more...
