Went today with my sisters to celebrate there birthday as this is our regular vegetarian place to go to and usually the service is good and so is the food. However today I was very disappointed with the food. Ordered sizzling paneer which came out with uncooked onions ! Hoping by returning the item it would be amended but again with more further dismay it was over cooked paneer with black thick charcoal. Still was hoping that this wouldn’t ruin our evening but I was so wrong. There somsea which were so oily that it ridiculously looked like they were over cooked. At the time of placing the order on many occasions explained to the waiter we want no chillies in the paneer dosa and tarkha daal as my sister is unable to eat too much chillies and was reassured that they will make sure of this. However when the items were brought out she couldn’t even eat them and just had to eat plain tandoori roti this evening. It didn’t even end there asking for masala chai came out milky and not even warm enough to drink. As iv explained we regularly go there but our experience today was absolutely awful and when discussing it with the staff member and was asking if the kitchen staff / chef had changed but was told no it’s still the same, all he could say was write a review.!!! Not impressed at all with the service, it’s definitely changed and there is no customer care. I don’t recommend this place and will be not returning with my family. It seriously needs proper management to over look...
Read moreOur First and best experience of Southall Eatery was Fortunately Delhi Wala. The ambience was nice and the service was prompt.
We started with Raj Kachori which my wife gave a 2/5 just because the Kachori wasn't as crisp and fresh as expected. The filling was decent. But the best part were the Pav Bhaji and the Paneer tikka roll which simply blew our minds and surely rekindled our tastebuds because we were desperately craving to taste the specific desi dilli flavour.
The pav bhaji and paneer tikka roll totally justified the portion size and taste. We collectively gave it a 5/5.
Next we were a bit perplexed on either to order Choley Bhatura or stuffed kulcha, but went on with ordering DW Special Kulcha which came with choley, salad and pickles. It was an absolute delight as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and finished off with a Pista Faluda Kulfi which my wife said was one of the best she had.
So in total everything was awesome and we would surely visit Delhi Wala in future for sure. We packed half a kg Jalebis which costed us £5 only. Oh not to forget our total bill for out visit was just £32.70, which is quite reasonable as well. Must Visit and the best and nearest parking is the Featherstone open parking which is open 24 hours and free after 6 pm. You can park, pay by phone and walk to DW for an awesome...
Read moreI own a local business and have been thinking of taking a step back and employing a manager to take care of my duties… Todays visit to this place just shows how important it is to have either the owner present OR have an experienced and well managed team that you liaise with regularly and keep motivated.
The boss needs to get in and save their business, what a fantastic reputation and food wasting away due to lazy inattentive monkeys employed to be front of house, oozing incompetency, with “i don’t give a damn” written all over their faces.
I sat down with my wife, waited several minutes (despite the restaurant being very quite) to get someones attention to clean the sticky table… I then waited several more minutes (even asked a waiter if we could place our order), but the 2 lacklustre staff were too busy and disinterested in us and rather looked at their phones, did menial tasks like shuffling menus around before finally serving OTHER people that had walked in 10 minutes after us. I got up and had a much better experience at Apna Pind just up the road.
Check your cameras i was there at 11:55am today and please for the love of your own business terminate the employment of the fool polishing spoons over serving customers.
TOP TIP: Definitely take away or stay away from...
