Definitely Recommend! We visited for date night tonight. This is currently the restaurant's soft launch period, they open properly in September. If this is the soft launch then all I can say is wow for when they are fully open!

Fantastic new wine bar and restaurant in Sidcup. The staff are brilliant very welcoming and attentive, service was extremely good. The menu on offer was fantastic, quality of our meal was very high. I love the fact that they have shared mains, we went for the beef pie and some sides and it was delicious. Starter of camembert was very good as was the fresh homemade dessert on offer. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, perfect for both couples and small groups. Couldn't fault our meal at all.

I'd read some mixed reviews but honestly give this place a chance it doesn't disappoint! It's in its very early stages and it's already wonderful.

My one and only gripe and it's just some feedback really, was the prices... Given how good the meal was we were happy to pay the £80 it cost - 3 courses and a bottle of red. But these prices are more what you find in central London rather than Sidcup, I worry it could maybe put people off?

For me because our meal was so lovely, I wouldn't hesitate to visit again. It was better than some more expensive meals we've had in the city! It's nice to be local to home and support a local...

Many moons ago when this was Station Road Bistro we came here on our first date and had only visited once since it became Appleyard, so decided to pay it another visit.

We hadn't booked a table and popped in on the off chance, finding space firstly up at the bar (sat in exactly the same place I was when we first met, adding to the nostalgia trip!) then later up at one of the tables in the bar area.

Appleyard is a busy and bustling place, but avoids being noisy or cramped, with well thought out decor and seating appropriate to the atmosphere, target audience and price point.

We eat some very nice Tapas, with the baby squid and potatas bravas being particular highlights while we sunk our beers, then moved onto a very nice Rioja before ending the night with a couple of well made espresso martinis.

The prices are not 'cheap and cheerful' by any means, but the quality of the food, the drink and the friendly service it make it good value for...

Came here last night with friends. We’d pre booked a table and staff were attentive upon us arriving.

I ordered the Grilled Squid for my starter. This was divine. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My friends ordered the Croquetas de Morcilla and the Gambas Al Ajilo.

Everyone was very satisfied with their starters. For the main I ordered the Spaghetti Bottarga which had prawns and squid in it.

The spaghetti was plentiful and was very tasty. My friends all ordered the pork belly which was also tasty. I had a little piece from them.

For desert we all had the Creme Caramel which reminded me of the many I’ve had in my time in Spain.

We shared some beautiful Spanish white wine too.

Service was on point. Attentive, informative and service with a smile.

Overall a really lovely evening made better with great food and great service. We’ll be back.

Keep up the great...

Originally gave this place 5 stars, but clearly management care more for profit than customers. Scrambled eggs & toast + Chorizo went from £8 to £13 overnight and no change to what you get. Spanish breakfast gone £11-£16 and ingredients simplified, get better one from cafe for half the price. Was a regular here every Saturday for lunch. The chef and staff are lovely and I feel so sorry for them. Was the meal we looked forward to each week. I understand prices have to rise, but 50% in one day, crazy. £10 for a basic scrambled eggs on toast... Maybe they thought it had gold leaf on it? No idea. Soo unfortunate and disappointing .

This place is amazing with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The wine list was simply fantastic, with a wide range across all corners of the globe, from new to old there is a variety to meet every taste, we opted for a Spanish Rioja which was simply outstanding - well balanced, full of flavour and bold. Food wise we shared a selection between friends, all of which were cooked to perfection, with amazing presentation and fantastic flavours. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back very soon!!
