ARCH Clapham — Restaurant in London

Me and my friends booked in for a roast this afternoon which we were really looking forward to at the new LGBT+ venue. We had our booking for 15:00 however we were waiting outside for around 10 minutes without anyone signposting when we'd get seen to. When we were seated, the service was quick for drinks and food orders but we were waiting for our food for a good 40-50 minutes. We could only order roasts from the menu and when we received our orders all of us were pretty underwhelmed. I can appreciate it's super busy and a new venue but we were really disappointed with our roasts, especially priced at £18 which is quite expensive for a roast in Clapham and didn't eat them unfortunately; my chicken was very dry, the potatoes and veggies were cold and we were missing parsnips from our plates. The gravy we received wasn't gravy. It was literally a sort of oil and it wasn't very pleasant to taste. We asked for condiments and parsnips which were never received, the gravy was still not up to standard for £18 and my friends potatoes were the same potatoes she had originally and were not heated up properly. As we were not happy or eat the roasts we were not charged for our meals. We were charged for our drinks which is fair however we were still charged a service charge which I didn't quite understand as our overall experience was definitely not up to scratch as we left disappointed and ended up going to the Clapham North for our roasts which was amazing and cheaper. I completely understand this is a new venue but the food overall wasn't great, except for the cauliflower cheese, I feel the roast is seriously overpriced and there was slight confusion amongst the staff in terms of what was going on meaning our issues I feel were not completely addressed accordingly. I think with a few adjustments with the food, a review on food prices and training for staff, I can see the venue being amazing because the vibe was great but overall, I can definitely find a better roast in Clapham for cheaper and...

Sad to leave such bad review for this place but we certainly left it with an upsetting feeling. We came here with a group of friends after having a birthday party nearby. When we arrived everything was fine and good as we went to buy our drinks to the bar which was served quickly and as expected. However, it all changed as soon as we had a waitress coming to our table and asking if we would like to order anything. It was a surprise when I said I'll go to order our drinks to the bar as we've been doing it all evening, where the waitress insisted to order them with her. Not only it took nearly an hour for drinks to arrive but also she overcharged us for the drinks despite having a happy hour. When I started questioning about how much we actually should've pay, it turned out that she just decided to charge us double shots even though we never asked for double shots. And waitress never asked during the order if we wanted double or single shots. Not only staff didn't apologise for such mistake but when one of our friends said that it would be nice to receive an apology and perhaps as a good gesture to give to the take some free shots, the other waitress just said that they don't do that. I mean, seriously?!?! So, how many more people this place have overcharged only because people don't even follow up on what they pay for??? That's not even everything. I also noticed that the waitress who overcharged us easily smokes vape while talking to the customers. I have never ever seen anything like that. Definitely avoid this place if you can and you surely can because there are so many better places around Clapham. Awful experience and this was my first time here. Definitely not...

The best place to go in South London, as a venue that is totally inclusive we are regulars and love the place.

We love it so much we trusted them with our post Wedding party 2 years ago and it rocked from parents to nephews and nieces ( all legal age or course ) were made very welcome.

My mother in law loved the entertainment is an understatement lol .

So last week they helped me throw a surprise party for my partners Birthday, the effort time trouble and generosity taken by the owner and all of his team to make this such a special occasion was awesome and yet another milestone in our history was celebrated @archclapham.

It’s refreshing to have a clean, well managed venue were service is passion led, this also applies at the shop where no question goes un answered or delivered with professionalism.

A real jewel in the crown for those of us who live in the neck of the woods.

Looking forward to Clapham Pride with amazingly no cover charge.

Thank you all and I know it won’t be the last time we celebrate a big or small occasion there.
