Boi this has to be a complete joke for Trini to come out to England and say that the food is like home cookedā¦ā¦.nah I wasnāt expecting this at allā¦ā¦ā¦ took me X2 hours to make the trip down there and from across the road I saw the queue for customers who were waiting for their order and some were overwhelmed by the fact they had already phoned the order and was expecting just to collect it but that didnāt seem to make sense because they waited same time as you order at the counter!! ā¦ā¦ Ok so I was recommended by my friend who said that the original owners took the place back from the previous āroti Joupa ā and wasnāt even sure what happened because the doubles that roti Joupa was 100 percent better and the service wasnāt that badā¦ā¦ā¦.. I mean itās good to hear Trini food essentially made in England but itās a shame when you tried to support your people ā¦.only to get disappointedā¦.. So after the trial of tawa roti itās a No way I would waste time on that trip againā¦.. So after that train ride I ended up at a place only 45 minutes away from London to see the Roti Tabanca ā¦ā¦ and I met some Trini people who were laughing at me when I showed them the doubles from my trip in Londonā¦ā¦. The whole story is that I only needed to get to Luton and taste their food and was blown away by their simplicity of the food game which I must praise for the fact they kept the food just like home cooked and the flavour wasnāt missing anything else to dream of being in Trinidadā¦ā¦ā¦ I met some people who were regular customers of Roti Tabanca and was liming and eating food which I had to try and convince myself never again going to London when all I needed was to go back to Luton and get my Trini flavours in my foodā¦ā¦ Next door to Roti Tabanca is a humble Trini place just started up called Dāgallery and lord oh lord ā¦.. if you like your Friday or Saturday soup ā¦ā¦ u will love this place. Sheās so talented with the ingredients and the service she provides. Cakes are something else too if youāre going to have room after eating the foodā¦ā¦. Go try for yourself and compare the big time experience with the big boys in London or the little humbling ones in Luton and leave a review for the next time someone asks for Trini food in Englandā¦ā¦. My favourite place to get Trini doubles and the best in England has been decided by the customers who know what the food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHi guys back with another honest reviewā¤ļø Service: The service was excellent. Staff were friendly and patient. The food was served quickly and it was hot.
Overall Score: 10/10
Food: Chicken Curry Roti which was good and would score it 8/10.
Stew Chicken Roti and we asked for pumpkin inside with slight pepper was wonderful. This was a 10/10
Curry Goat with Buss up Shot with slight pepper was very good. The pepper is strong so if you can't take pepper you have been warned.
Pumpkin was Amazing 𤩠this was the best dish! It was so good, I order another portion before I left. 10/10
Phalourie Balls were soft but felt the tamarind sauce could be slight sweeter. Would give this 7/10
Macaroni Pie was okay but the pepper on top gave it extra flavour. 7.5/10
The Doubles are another star of the show at this restaurant. I added pumpkin in mine and my friends had it with pepper. We all agreed it was 10/10. Again we ordered another portion before we left.š
Sorrel Juice was lovely I could have drank 2 of these 9/10 Overall: The food is seasoned well and made with love. You can tell as you watch the staff make the roti and buss up shot fresh. The portion size are good and filling.
Atmosphere: When you walk in it is a takeaway restaurant but it does have seats around the sides. I felt like I was back home in Carribbean really warm and lovely vibe.
The shop is busy šš¾ which I love to see a business thriving.
Overall: I would highly recommend this restaurant to others. It is a great take away. If I lived closer I would be...

I visited this restaurant yesterday and ordered the curry goat and shrimp dhal puri. What followed was nothing short of a nightmare. The food was so unbearably spicy that it became impossible to eat. My mouth was throbbing, my eyes and nose were pouring, and the pain was instant and overwhelming.
However, the real horror began after we left. Almost immediately after getting home, we were struck with excruciating stomach cramps, followed by severe diarrhoea that lasted the entire night. By morning, I was still suffering from intense nausea and diarrhoea, but my friendās condition was even more alarming. She began vomiting violently and was struggling to breathe as her throat felt like it was burning. Her symptoms were so severe that I had to call 111 for medical advice, and I am still on the phone trying to figure out the next steps.
This was not just a bad mealāit was a genuine health risk. I have never experienced anything like this in my life, and I strongly urge others to stay away from this restaurant. What we went through was both traumatic and dangerous.
There was RAW mashed up pepper in the food that made it completely...
