We ate in and the waitress (also the Manager) was extremely rude. She was argumentative and combative, even ignoring us at certain points. She also brought a dish with egg in it that was supposed to be vegan and didn't say anything. She also brought three flat soft drinks and insinuated we were lying about them being flat and proceeded to argue. The service was also slow even though we were the only ones in the restaurant! The food was to a really bad standard and I couldn't finish it. When we tried to speak to her, she would cut us off or ignore us at points and when we gave her feedback at the end, she was again argumentative. To add, the atmosphere isn't great, dirty carpet, dusty seats and aged decor... If I could give this place zero stars I would. Horrible experience.

We did not make any rude request, nor were we lying about the drinks (which we didn't even end up drinking). Read moreI had a delightful buffet dinner at a Chinese restaurant with my partner this evening. Our usual Chinese is closed on a Monday evening as are a lot of Chinese restaurants. I'm so pleased it was otherwise we would never have found Beijing Garden which was open this evening (Monday)!
Our starters included chicken satay, spring rolls, ribs, and battered squid, all of which were delicious. The duck and pancakes that followed were also quite good.
By the time the main course arrived, we were quite full, but the Singapore noodles stood out as a definite favorite for me. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed Chinese food this much, especially at such reasonable prices. The food was bursting with distinct, flavorful spices, far superior to the generic offerings typically found in other local Chinese restaurants.
While the interior of the restaurant might only merit a 2 or 3-star rating, the food most definitely scores a lot higher. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic and delicious...
