Overall experience: the food is good, and it was very well seasoned! Visited on a Tuesday around 11 am and got the latter part of the breakfast service. The place had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating along the river, with a warm, nice indoors environments, and bar. I got the Grande Mattina, which has delicious mushrooms, and the eggs, and meats were great. My friend got the Uova al forno (red dish with two eggs in a small cast iron skillet). This dish was also very good, though it wasn’t spicy as described, but that’s typical of European countries - so nothing unusual there. Both dishes also came with focaccia and butter. The focaccia is made there; you can see them making it. It really tied the whole meal together. It was definitely a 2/3 rating for price as Google said. Lastly, the espresso and macchiato was satisfying, though not carbonated drink provided for the espresso. I’d come back if I didn’t have the energy to explore new spots on this visit.

I love this place I went yesterday with my family, a 2 and 3 year old babies and my brother who is visiting from Mexico. We had a fish and Chips and was gorgeous, my brother had a Goats cheese pizza and my husband had the beef burger. Everyone loved their food The servers were very patient with us and kind when dealing with the kids They offered us the kids menu and I am glad they had milk as an options, my kids don’t eat sugar! Everyone was satisfied with the big portions and the taste! I hope this place get more good reviews because they deserve better! As a business owner myself I want to support the business that do well! BTW, the fish and chips I had was very very very good! I love a good fish and chips. The batter was crispy and the size was huge! The chips in general we had for our meals were freshly cooked!

Had a very unfortunate experience this evening. I am type 1 diabetic and came into the BFI to buy a full sugar coke as I was having an urgent extreme hypo (low blood sugar). My boyfriend went to the bar and paid £3.70 for a half of draft coke. I started drinking it and realised it was so full of ice it was about 4 mouthfuls which wouldn't cut it to get my blood sugar up. I asked him to go back and get them to top it up a little (considering we were already short changed due to the ridiculous amount of ice). The bar man refused (short guy, white with dark hair) saying he "wasn't allowed to top up drinks" and made my boyfriend pay another £3.70 for a glass of coke with no ice. Which was totally flat by the way. Pathetic.

Awful experience both on service and on food. Saturday lunch time rainy day, not even full, dirty table that at the end as nobody cleaned I did by myself. I asked for something vegan, I've been not even complicated, asking in general what they could easily make me, the waitress suggested me the vegetarian burger, without goat chees and no mayo, with something else instead, I agreed, suggesting a bit of humus, instead of the mayo for example. She forgot to take the order for the drink, so I had to call her back to me. After waiting more than 40 min finally I had my burger, which at first sight looked fine, as the waitress didn't even give to me the time to taste and check it but she asked me if I was fine, I said, that after waiting that long at least now I need a minute to taste it, and I asked for some ketchup. So the vegetarian burger doesn't have a vegetarian patty but onion, a bit of portobello mushroom (not even a whole one), 1 leaf of salad and 2 slices of tomato 😬 and in mine instead of goat cheese and mayo I had some humus.. chips on the side of course ..lthat's it! £ 11,50! ridiculous! And was cold! I asked the waitress to check as i asked for a vegan option, but just humus doesn't make the price, she took the place and she went to ask in the kitchen, then she came back, telling me that I asked for the humus, and she chugged clearly annoyed about my request, and she turn away, avoiding my question, another waitress watching the scene, asked me what was wrong, I said:" your colleague is very impolite, and second why I should pay that price for even less compared the original receipt?" and she said "that is the price!", I was so nervous that at that point even very hungry I wanted to leave, At that point my burger was very cold. And no answer achieved. Finally a manager intervene. I explained the whole situation all over, I'm vegan I'm hungry, I don't mind what, but at least has to be fear on price and fully vegan, I even said I will eat it cold now as I don't want to wait another half hour as I have to go and I'm hungry, but bring me something to replace the goat chees, please. Fine she served me some avocado and some new chips, deal. Eating the burger i realised that the bum it couldn't be vegan as it is a brioche. As my phone was off I couldn't check on line, I asked the server and she said: "you should be alright." I should? When I went to pay, ... I posed the question again to the manager but she wasn't sure as they don't serve vegan food, but I should be ok, she said. Now, obviously the service was terrible. No information given, no customer service at all, food really poor and expensive! by the way the brioche bun is not vegan! Contain butter! After 6yr that I'm vegan they make eat something made with milk! Horrible! Totally non professional! And ignorant as well! I've been treated as I was a crazy stupid, I've eaten a cold non vegan burger for 11.50 pounds! Yes maybe I'm crazy! They are rude and...

It's always so awkward to say something, particularly when all one wants is to get the train back home after a long day. However, the experience was just subpar.

First, people who sat after us got served their drinks and then food first. Apparently we're the only one who had an issue with our order in the system, which is why it took so long.

Secondly we asked for a high chair several times, yet only got one as the food was arriving.

Thirdly, the food was just... Bland. The olive oil for the focaccia, which barely had any rosemary, was a random store bought brand and nothing reasonably sourced. The chips were good, but have had better McDonald's burgers.... Not sure if the bottle or the glass I used with tap water was properly washed because I could still taste the rosé it held.

Last but not least, service charge. I have worked in the industry, so I absolutely love to tip people... When I get stellar food and service. So being forced to pay service charge when we got served last, didn't get a high chair promptly, and the food was barely edible... Yes, our 1 year old threw food and broke a glass (which got away from me), which is why we would have tipped anyway, but it should be our choice to do with an amount we see fair.

I hope you take feedback on board...

Went here with my girlfriend and our 2 year old son and the service we received was apalling. Now bare in mind the place was borderline empty with only two tables at the time filled so there was plenty of room and lots of spare service staff,We stood around the entrance for atleast five minutes waiting for the servers to finish their conversation (after looking at us multiple times) before we were seated. After being seated we looked at the menu and it took them another 15 mins to ask us if we wanted any drinks, we made our order aswell as our food order. The food didnt take long at all and it was absolutely amazing, we made sure to give compliments to the chef as we left. However after all of us had finished eating we had sat there for 20 minutes with empty plates and empty glasses on the table whilst and the servers AND EVEN THE MANAGER OF THE ESTABLISHMENT stood at the front of the store and had a fun chat. Finally we were approached at that point i called for the bill and was FORCED TO PAY A TIP, absolute joke of a place. The fact that they find it at all acceptable to force a tip onto our bill and refuse to take it off after the worst service i'd ever received is astounding, mcdonalds does...
