Last night, we had the best time. Although we were running late due to traffic, Amy handled it perfectly and dealt with my panic, reassuring me the entire time. Because of her, I had a genuinely great night, and everything was managed beautifully.
Unfortunately, the end of the night completely changed my mood. A captain or head staff member behaved appallingly — and there are 40 witnesses who saw it happen. Earlier, my partner had been told to wait for staff before unplugging his device. At the end of the night, a staff member named Paul told him it was fine to unplug it, so he listened. Naturally, he trusted staff were communicating. He was sober, I was there, and others witnessed the exchange.
When the captain saw my partner holding the device, he pointed at me and said, "She’s going to have to pay for it if it’s broken; you were told to wait." My partner apologised and tried to explain, but the captain rudely told him to get off the vessel, repeatedly cutting him off and refusing to listen. Amy kindly advised us to leave without stressing, trying to salvage the night. My partner remained calm throughout.
I had confronted that staff due to the disrespect towards my partner but my sister approached to calm the situation, telling the captain I was upset, but he immediately raised his voice at her too. When she defended herself, he pointed at her, saying, "Don’t you talk to me like that, don’t disrespect me," which was highly ironic considering his behaviour with cutting off and pointing with his hand to both my sister and partner . Meanwhile, security got into my sister’s face telling her to "speak nicely" — yet said nothing to the captain, who continued to yell and point. We remained calm throughout, and I will not accept any twisting of the truth. I was completely sober and seen speaking with Amy multiple times.
The night was truly wonderful until the captain’s rude behaviour ruined it. It is human nature to defend yourself when treated unfairly which is why we will confront and get angry back . Many people heard my partner’s interaction with Paul, and many witnessed the captain’s outburst.
Even though being told my vessel was switched was disappointing, we continued to enjoy our joint birthday. Most of the staff were incredible, but one entitled individual with authority spoiled the experience. I should have read the reviews more carefully — I later recognised the captain from a low-star review where his photo (wearing a hat/cap and glasses) was posted.
I usually try to understand people's behaviour, but this time, I simply cannot. However, I want to sincerely thank Claire, Sarah, for helping us plan a special night and especially Amy for helping us efficiently throughout the...
Read moreOur function was otherwise good however there were so many issues with security and management of the boat.
It was made clear that we had only 15 minutes boarding time but security took so long to check attendees that it went over by 15 minutes and we were left confused about whether that extra time charged would be payable by us. Security also arrived late and did not check for anyones ID. Then, after making it clear even before guests lined up to board the boat that I was an event organiser, was told that I could not skip the line to make sure that everyone on board was okay.
Security also did not check for wristbands which meant that anyone could have shown up to the Pier and been allowed entry into our function - they said that they “don’t care” about this. Instead they focused on confiscating all articles of food. This was a huge issue as there were guests with health requirements who did not receive adequate food during a 4 hour cruise as only food available onboard was minimal snacks costing more money.
There were also 5 guests who showed up 15 minutes late to the Pier and we made it clear to guests that anyone coming after the time of embarkment would not be allowed onboard. The boat was adamant that we could not leave without them but they did not even know if they were guests. The staff refused to leave without us checking causing even more delay to the start of the function.
There was little care to maintain the only 2 bathrooms on board where 1 sink was out of order and then 1 of the toilets was locked and eventually all bathrooms ran out of tissues and were not replenished. Overall, the communication from the emails indicated that there was little room for exceptions for those with any problems. Only one of the security took care to check on the wellbeing of our guests whilst the others were out smoking on the balcony or standing around.
Do what you will with this review but bare in mind that there is little legroom for adjustments with...
Read moreDo not use this company. They are extremely rude and the prices are ridiculous!!
I booked the company for my hen do and there were 35 of us. When we arrived Aimee who was lovely and very friendly allowed a few of us on the boat to set up. The boat was extremely rocky and we were struggling trying to get everything ready in the conditions. Being fully aware of this the bar staff proceeded to pour the glasses of prosecco and place them on the tables which was a huge mistake as no sooner had they layed them out, the boat tipped and the majority of the glasses fell over and left the tables and the chairs soaking. Instead of removing any remaining glasses they were left on the table and they just kept falling over. I am not sure how many of these were replaced and if we actually received the 45 glasses of proscecco that I prepaid for.
There were quite a few guests that were feeling quite sea sick and it took them a while to feel well enough to eat any of the food. By the time people were feeling ready to eat, the older woman who's name I didn't find out starting to clear the food away. She was quite rude to me, my mum and sister. When I asked her if I could take some food from a tray to eat as she was taking it away she told me I couldn't and that she was just moving the food to another table, but I never saw any of the food again. My sister also asked if we would be able to take some of the food away with us and she said no. Seeing as we had paid for the food, we should have been able to do whatever we wanted with it.
The drinks prices where also extortionate - £35 for a bottle of Proscecco and £2.40 for a small bottle of water is ridiculous, especially when people were feeling sick and had no other option for water. For what you were charging us (£60 per head) I expected a much higher standard of service and to be spoken to in that way on my hen party was really unacceptable.
Stay away try this company. You will get ripped off and...
