Southbank Book Market — Local services in London

Stumbled upon this by chance near closing time in a weekday. There was one vendor and another closing up so I assumed there would usually be more, and we had just missed them because it was late.

But we came by earlier the next day, and there was just one vendor again.

My guess is there are probably more vendors on weekends… disappointing since we were only in town for a few days. But I loved looking around and I found a really neat antique book for £6.50. Prices are a bit more than you’d spend at a charity shop or something, but the selection of books was...

A jewel on the southbank, treasures galore, with the summer breeze and books, sweet books, to remind us how wonderful the world is.

Under the bridge, fall in love again with authors you have known and adored, spent hours in bed with, lazy afternoons, when words were all that mattered and you allowed your imagination to play.

It was pure bliss seeing a few tables at 730 on a Sunday evening, a few records too, and I will definitely be back.

This is one of my favourite places in London! The sellers are pleasant, so you often have interesting conversations with them.
