I went there yesterday with a friend and we really had a fantastic time in this place. The place is very funky, a mixture of classic and new style which I found a great atmosphere and feel like at home. What really impressed us was the service which has been impeccable from beginning to end, not only by two waiters who helped us, but everyone else around. Blue and James were helping us, from taking a seat, to checking we were ok to taking the orders. All along they were very friendly, attentive and patient, my friend and I had some request with the meal, nothing was much for them, in fact it turned very easy and even other waiters came with the meals with something different from our request, it was the two of them to spot it first, before we highlighted and in a matter of minutes, we had the correct food added/replaced. And the lady outside helping the customers outside would approach us when we spoke to her and chatted briefly to us in the most natural, funny way, while she was still overlooking at her customers. My friend and I left with a huge smile on our face, it was not just the lovely food that impressed us, it was most of all the service we received which made it all a memorable experience we do seldom find these days. Many thanks to Blue and James for...bring you and turning my birthday meal (you did not know that), into a wonderful day. My friend and I hope to see you again soon for another fun loving experience for us and you both.

Our party of 7 arrived early for a business meeting dinner and were promptly seated by the First Gentleman, which we appreciated. Our server took our order within 5-10 minutes, but after waiting for 30 minutes, we were still without our drinks. It became evident that the table next to us, seated 15 minutes after our arrival, had already received their orders while we barely had tap water to drink. After 45 minutes, only 80% of our drinks and one small plate had been brought to the table. When I inquired about the rest of my order and missing drinks, the server responded rudely. With no food in sight for anyone at our table, we sought assistance from another server who promptly addressed our concerns. Unfortunately, when the food finally arrived after 1 hour and 15 minutes, it was lukewarm or cold, leaving us hungry and frustrated. Adding to the dissatisfaction, staff members were seen carrying bags of rubbish through the dining area, passing numerous tables, which we found unsanitary. We expressed our disappointment to the manager, who offered to remove the service charge and drinks from our bill, but this felt unfair to those who didn't receive their drinks. Additionally, a free dessert was offered, but given the overall terrible experience, we declined. This was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience at a Bill's restaurant, and none of our party will be returning.

Very large Bill’s locations recently redecorated to ditch the old homey decor and replace it with a style that can only be described as kitschy. I'm all for change, but did Bill take a trip to Miami or something? On a recent visit, what was once a window seat is now obstructed by a giant purple butterfly made of felt. With the new look also came more tables and less line of sight obstructions, making the whole space feel cramped and much, much louder. I assume corporate were looking to make this a buzzing Soho location, but they've failed miserably. The world does not need more orange couches. Aesthetic aside, this location has very friendly staff, though definitely order the first time you’re asked, as requesting a few more minutes generally means you won’t get approached for another ten. The lunch fare is decent, but the breakfast can be hit or miss. The "Smashed Avocado and Poached Eggs on Toast" (£7.95) comes with two small poached eggs and unseasoned avocado on plain bread; no seasoning or sauce and all around a let down. The pancakes also have very little syrup, though they are fluffy and come with lots of fruit. The "Yogurt, Granola, and Berries" parfait (£5.95) is excellent, as is the new "Halloumi and Hummus Plate" (£9.95). Both are worth coming for, but maybe bring a blindfold.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bill's Restaurant in Soho, London, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the delicious food to the warm atmosphere, everything about this place exceeded my expectations. However, I must highlight the exceptional service provided by the manager, Paolo, who truly made our visit extraordinary.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, Paolo greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel instantly welcome. He guided us to our table and ensured that we were comfortable. Throughout our meal, Paolo's attentiveness never wavered. He was always present, ready to assist and offer recommendations whenever needed. His knowledge of the menu was impeccable, and he went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary preferences.

The food at Bill's was nothing short of delightful. The menu offered a wide range of options, from breakfast classics to mouthwatering dinner dishes.

Throughout our dining experience, Paolo ensured that everything ran smoothly. He had an eye for detail and promptly attended to any request. The level of professionalism and dedication he displayed was truly exceptional and made us feel like valued patrons.

The ambiance of Bill's was cozy yet stylish, with its rustic decor and dimly lit space. The restaurant was bustling with energy, creating a vibrant atmosphere that added to the overall dining experience. The staff members were courteous and efficient, working seamlessly together to ensure that all guests were well taken care of.

In conclusion, Bill's Restaurant in Soho, London, is an absolute gem, thanks in large part to Manager Paolo. His impeccable attention to detail, warm hospitality, and passion for excellent service truly set this establishment apart. It is evident that Paolo cares deeply about his guests' experience and goes above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, and I am already looking forward to my next visit to...

Bill's is always good food - very consistent, and I have never not enjoyed a meal there. My only comment on the food would be that the paper plate liners are not appreciated - they get damp and torn as you cut the food, so you end up having to pick small bits of paper out of the food.

This particular branch is not the best layout. I have been twice, both times pre-booked in the evening. It's very convenient for dinner before the theatre, which could be why it gets busy. But the lobby/entrance is extremely crowded - any more than one party waiting results in the crowd spilling onto the street. Then, if anybody who's booked needs to get to the front, it's not possible.

We arrived 5 minutes before our booked time, and our table wasn't quite ready - we had to wait 5-10 minutes, which wasn't a problem as such, but there is nowhere to stand and wait. We had to constantly shift around between tables to allow people to pass. The large Christmas tree in the entrance takes up the only possible place to wait, and the tables are crammed in quite tightly.

Service was good and fairly quick once we were seated. There was a small problem with our bill, which contained £18 worth of drinks that we had not ordered. From what we overheard, the people on the next table had ordered them but they had been added to our tab by mistake. But when we were able to flag down a server, this was rectified fairly quickly.

The crowded nature of this restaurant also means that it's very noisy. The music playing over the sound system has to compete with a lot of loud talking and shouting, so it's altogether quite a chaotic atmosphere. For this reason, I would probably not return to this branch, because I prefer a calm, quiet and relaxing...

I honestly don’t even know where to start with how disappointing our visit to Bill’s was. From the very beginning, the service was unbelievably poor. Staff looked uninterested, unprofessional, and completely unbothered about providing even the most basic level of hospitality. We were left waiting far too long for our food, and when it eventually arrived, it was a massive letdown.

The fries were clearly old, overcooked, and tasted as if they’d been sitting around for hours before being dumped on the plate. The steak was even worse — tough, chewy, and completely flavourless. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, the quality of food was appalling. We spent £144 for three adults and a child, and it honestly felt like throwing money down the drain. The experience was nowhere near worth half of that.

What shocked me the most was the complete lack of professionalism from the staff. Towards the end of the shift, they were openly sitting down and eating their own food while customers were still in the restaurant. It showed zero respect for paying customers and made it very clear that they couldn’t care less about service or standards.

Overall, the whole experience was dreadful from start to finish. Late food, terrible service, awful food quality, and staff with no interest in their jobs. I can safely say this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I will never be returning, and I would strongly advise others to save their money and avoid this place entirely. There are plenty of far better restaurants out there where you will get decent food, good service, and value...
