It is a shame that this place, which was one of my favorite locals not long ago, has gone down so much particularly in service. It has happened to me a few times already that the male waiter simply ignores you, complains when you ask something from him or he's just rude. The latest experience, yesterday, can be summarized in 1 hour at the place, around 45 minutes wait and 15 rushing to eat the food that took forever to come. After that long wait, the waiter brought us 1 cutlery set and when we asked for the 2nd he went straight to chat with his colleague for a while ignoring us. There was also the £3.5 glass of the rosemary sparkling water I get in M&S with no other home addition than a few ice cubes... It is a shame to see such a local nice place going...

I have just eaten in at the blue brick cafe in Dulwich and was served a slice of mouldy bread. When I informed the staff he told me that the bread was not mouldy and that it was just flour! Flour is not green! I was horrified with being served contaminated food but even more appalled with the way the owner dealt with the situation. How disgusting! In order to "prove" the bread was not mouldy he threw it in the bin and pulled out a fresh slice telling me that he was unable to find mould on a different slice of bread??!!

Not sure if they have changed owners recently but I used to love this place. I will never go back here again and I have reported the issue to food safety...

I wondered into this little gem today thinking it was a cafe but found all the tables full with people eating lunch. I spoke to a lovely man on the counter and asked if they made sandwiches to take away. He advised that they where not on the menu but I was welcome to pick some ingredients and they would throw one together for me. I requested some tomato, pesto and some goats cheese and waited a short while. Well it was absolutely worth the wait what an amazing sandwich it was on some delicious sour dough bread. They should absolutely do takeaway sandwiches I think I will be back again very soon for the same and possibly a breakfast or lunch some time...

Cute little vegan cafe tucked away on a residential street in East Dulwich. We had savoury pancakes and a chickpea stew. The food is descent, a home-made kind of vibe which you could make at home if you could be bothered, comforting and quite large portions. Check chalk boards for specials. The cakes looked nice, didn't try them but was very tempted. It's a nice place to hang out and catch up with a friend. I have seen it at weekends and it looks very busy inside so perhaps pop in during the week.

I needed a brekkie place that could cater for various dietary requirements - they cater for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and nut allergies. The food is great, the coffee is great, the service is great, the staff were great. Can’t fault it at all…even when they ran out of something they thought on the fly and offered a yummy replacement. They go out of their way to be great so I will deffo be back 😋 (pic is of the vegan full breakfast…sorry it’s already eaten…it was too good to wait!)

A bijou vegan eatery located snuggly in a former Victorian Dairy on an inconspicuous suburban side street. The offhand boho interior concedes little to fashion or affected chic. Limited but varied selection. Robust portions, delicious flavours that defy assumptions, exceed expectations. Staff propelled by enthusiasm and galvanised by intent. So good. VIVA BBC ! Blue Brick Cafe Recommended wholeheartedly.
