I normally really enjoy bobo & wilds food very much but yesterday I was super disappointed with what I got. First of all, I ordered a "large" chai latte which was £3.80. the size of the "large" cups is still very small (in comparison their large is the same size as a Starbucks small) so I personally feel nearly £4 is a little pricey for a small drink. Onto the food, I normally order an egg dish (which are always amazing and good value for money, this place definitely specialises in eggs!) but thought I'd try something different and go for the full English breakfast. I have to say the value for money really wasn't good at all. I paid £15 for a breakfast (I know it's £14 in store) which is already very pricey and more expensive then other breakfast places. I don't mind paying it if the quality and quantity is good but I was disappointed. The bacon was extremely thin and was streaky, so very fatty and not at all crispy. For £15 I was expecting back bacon. The sausage was lovely but there was only 1 which I think for the price, could of easily been 2. The baked beans were very nice but there was literally a tablespoon full of beans which were put directly on the toast in the bottom of the box. I don't eat mushrooms but there's no way to remove them on deliveroo, so I was a bit disappointed when they were placed on the bread at the bottom of the box as it made the bread taste like them. I do think the bread should be separate as it was soggy with the mushroom juice and the small amount of beans directly on it. The egg was amazing and there was a good amount of bread but that's it. The potatoes were advertised as smokey baby potatoes, but my box contained just 2 baby potatoes with no seasoning. They were completely pale and plain and definitely weren't smokey tasting. Again, for the price, having 2 small new potatoes was a little shocking. I also ordered the banana bread special and once again, the taste was amazing but the portion was a lot smaller then what I've received before when ordering the same dish. £9 for a slice of banana bread with some berries is very expensive but again, I'm happy to pay if the quality and quantity is worth it. The taste is amazing but portion is far too small for the price. After sharing both the breakfast and the banana bread with my 2 year old, I was over £30 out of pocket and we were both still hungry. Apart from the disappointment of the bacon and potatoes, the rest of the food tastes amazing, but I feel like the portion sizes should be increased. I realise the price is slightly more when ordering online but even looking at the in-store prices, I feel like the portion sizes still aren't great for the amount of money you pay. There are other places that do similar tasting breakfasts around the same price but you get a lot more food for your money. Overall the food tastes amazing but it's so expensive that it has to be a once a month treat for us on payday and this time we were left hungry and disappointed with what we got for the...

That was Bobo & Wild for me on New Years Day. After visiting some family in East London which was quite the sombre event, I found myself frantically looking for some caffeine prior to taking the dreaded journey back to the glorious city of Birmingham.
Being a bank holiday, with a lot of places closed to recover from their boozing antics (presumed) from the night before, I found myself getting agitated and extremely despondent at knowing that I would have to drive back without coffee being in my body.
Delightfully, I stumbled upon Bobo & Wild, where the shutters were up, and a bustling crowd reveled in the culinary delights on the menu. Being a devout coffee enthusiast, I firmly believe that coffee is meant to be sipped from a mug, not tainted by the sacrilege of a paper cup. Yet, in the whirlwind of life's chaos (and their apparent popularity), I reluctantly succumbed to a takeaway flat white – a compromise only a true coffee lover can understand.
The barista making the coffee must have topped her class as the flat white was made perfectly with the right texture avoiding the frothiness that some places are infamous for. The coffee married with a double chocolate cookie from Subway across the road made the near enough 3 hour rain hit tumultuous journey that...
Read moreSuperb addition to South Woodford, especially after we lost Salway Cookhouse recently. I echo what the other reviewers say, the staff are great and really attentive, maybe a little too much sometimes as I was asked how my food was as my first fork-full was going in, and then the same staff member came to take my plate away when I still had a third of it left, but that is a minor thing and didn't take away from the lovely atmosphere and great food. Turkish eggs, perfectly cooked and delicious (and filling). Also a fab flat white. I do think service charge should be left to the discretion of the customer and not automatically added to the bill, which made what was reasonable suddenly seem expensive. I'm sure the response to that would be that you can decline to pay it, but who would do that, it would be very embarrassing to say you're not going to pay it, so you're forced to accept it and not decide what you want to tip. None of this would prevent me going back, it is a really nice place with really great food. Thank you to all the staff...
