Perfect pizza! I last visited this intimate restaurant 2 years ago and expected it to have changed since; I was so wrong. Not only has the menu stayed true to its Neapolitan roots but has expanded to include both gluten free and vegan options. This is paired with a variety of starters, dips and oils to choose from (I stole their chilli oil recipe…!) All the food is prepared within eye shot and their new pizza oven seems to be fired up as per all the deliveries flying out the door.
Suffering from a nut allergy it is sometimes a process in pointing this out. However, the waiters were excellent in reassuring me by quickly informing the kitchen once they had taken my order.
Tonight, myself and my daughter shared the new garlic bread with burratina and a meat special. Soft and chewy bases with lightly crisped crusts - just how it should be.
The interior has been completely renovated and feels a lot more spacious since my last visit. My only niggle would be that the music could do with updating… Other than that it was a really enjoyable atmosphere.
Great food. Great staff. Great venue....
Read moreBeen here a few times and it's probably more suited to families given how many kids are always there. The pizzas are really nice although the pricing is weird (it's cheaper to get a mozzarella and add pepperoni rather than get the pepperoni). Reason for 3*'s is because the latest time I went there it was pretty quiet but it took so long for service, especially to get the bill which was weird because it seemed like they needed the table back at that point. It was also really cold as the chefs insisted on having the door open. And because of the unnecessary delays (and also because service charges are a stupid additional cost) I asked to remove the optional service charge and the staff were SO rude after this. You're not entitled to the optional tip, especially if your service was poor? They basically just proved my point after. Won't be bothering again - it's pretty standard italian style pizza you can...
Read moreWell I’ve taken the time to speak with the owner and staff about the conditions of their bins at the back of the restaurant as they continually Have broken protocol for dispersal of their Rubish by keeping the bin lids wide open with Rubish pouring out this is a major issue as their are rats Completely taking over the Alleyway behind the restaurants where residents live. It’s been made clear to me that the owner does not own the bins and therefore can not provide Adequate locks to keep the bins locked as well as Not being able to repair the possible damages to the bin made by the rats as the bins do not belong to him.
Anyway I hope this Review is seen and maybe more care would be given in The future as well as common courtesy towards the residence that live behind the shop sorry and not sorry
A very annoyed neighbour
