Went for dinner there with my wife on a Friday afternoon.
The place doesn't accept reservations, so it's first come, first served.
Once I got there, I was welcomed in by one of the hosts and shown to the table my wife had already got. The food and drinks menus were already on the table.
It took us a bit to decide what to get, and luckily our host was able to make some good recommendations.
We had 2 starters: edamame beans and salt & pepper pork ribs. For mains, we went with beef noodles, pork belly, fried beef strips and king prawn rice. We thoroughly enjoyed most of the foods. The only recommendation we'd have is for the beef strips to have less cornstarch on them. They were very crunchy, but we couldn't really taste the beef flavour.
During our meal we also got a checkback, which was appreciated.
Overall a very good experience and we'll definitely be...
Read moreI found Tofu online while passing through the area early evening on a Friday. The rating of 4.9 made us check out the menu quickly which was reasonably priced and varied. I rang ahead to book and even though I didn't need to as we were first in the restaurant, it soon filled up quickly after we sat down. The service was so quick and the dishes was well presented with fresh ingredients. I ordered beef chow mein which can sometimes be a risk as you never know if the beef is going to be tough but it wasn't. There was no aftertaste either which you can often get when you have a Chinese takeaway. I was especially impressed with the toilets which were absolutely pristine. Really impressed with this place. I am already looking forward to visiting again and would highly recommend Tofu to anyone. Fully deserves the...
Read moreso happy we have a nice dine-in Chinese of such high quality in our local area. The food was fresh and not greasy, portions were great value and the flavours were brilliant. The plain chow mein is probably the best I’ve ever had (it’s not what some restaurants call “plain” where they don’t even chuck some spring onions in though, it had veg in it which was great), Kung Pao prawns were perfectly cooked, salt & pepper tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the Chinese Style duck was a hit too. It’s a lovely restaurant, super clean and the staff were great.
We arrived at 6:30 and were the first customers but every table was full just after 7pm. Looking forward...
