I have lived in UK for 20+ years and I have to honestly say that Brazil Café on Battersea Road is by far the most authentic food I’ve eaten outside of Brazil! I had a ‘pastel de palmito ’ ( palm heart parcel ),which is exactly the same taste and consistency of a ‘ pastel de feira’ ( open markets all over Brazil sell them) as I remember eating during my childhood in Brazil. My husband had a chicken Milanese accompanied by rice, black beans, side salad and the famous ‘farofa ‘ (toasted cassava flour ), which is typically spread over your rice and black beans. We had an Antarctica beer and finished off with a deliciously made coffee. The prices are fair and portions generous. The menu has a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. They stay open late, (9pm) on a Friday and a Saturday. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant, although small, is packed full of Brazilians as well as British. A brilliant atmosphere and well worth a visit!

I... Don't. Think. I..... Can fault anything! It's a small unassuming cafe, which I wanted to check out for the sake of my husband (Brasilian) + I was craving meat cooked well (which Brasilians do; if you know, you know 🤗). We both had the Prato do Dia which was excellent value and filled our tums so much that I now feel like a barrel! Quality, taste and cost - all well worth it. Service was really good, the host/cashier even seemed aware when my husband said I don't eat pork, that it would be due to religious reasons. He immediately suggested alternatives to replace whatever pork would be on the dish. And...! He even presented our doggy Aggie with treats - so thoughtful. Muito obrigada gente, voltaremos para mais. 💗

Cozy little family run style restaurant. Amazing food and friendly staff. It was our first time trying Brazilian food, not sure how authentic it was but the food tasted amazing. And it was room full of Brazilian customer as they speak the same language as the waitress. Waitress was being extra helpful with orders and explained how they would normally eat the dishes etc. Definitely will come back again.
